"Mr Martin subsequently travelled to Chelmsford Prison to greet Ryan on his release, with arrangements made to transport Hall to the teams hotel in Morecambe ahead of Saturday's npower League Two match and meet up with his Southend United team-mates."
Sounds like Ryan will be getting a ride up to Morecambe with Ron.:scared:
Good news, lets hope he can play some part tomorrow.
Hopefully he'll be having a chat with him over a new contract on the long journey.

No they couldnt because the judge would then be sentancing outside the guidlines for the offence , basically he was already given the max possible sentance.
The main crux of the matter is " lets hope he gets the same judge that granted him bail today" , as he felt the sentance was far to harsh !
Can't see any mention of the fact that the Court could, if it wanted, increase the sentence on Thursday.
Why do people keep comparing this with what would happen to them? Football isn't a normal job. I doubt anyone here is of much tangible value to their employer. You can't be sold, you don't have transfer windows in which you can only be replaced permenantly.
Once Hall has done his time he should be entitled to get on with his life like anyone else would.
Sorry but before I posted I checked the Guidelines in the Sentencing Manual. The maximum sentence for affray is 3 years.

I am with chris powells mate on this one, plus i find martins actions curious to say the least. Considering that he is not paying the players, and yet he is happy to pull all the stops out for a player that when hopefully finishes his sentence the season could be over, and on a free transfer . so i dont get it?? is it to try and reverse his negative pr?? the assault on him is described on bbc essex "as an alledged racist attack". the only people who know if it was or not, are hall, and his chums who went steaming in to the guy, also from southend utd. he should due the time and be sacked. my job like all of yours would not even entertain me returning to work.
lets say i did martin over in a car park and was caught on video?? would there be the sympathy expressed for me like has been for hall, !!!!
Bet everybody would have a different tune if it was Tilson who had done it!!!
Bullhang. It's that kind of attitude that allows Rooney to escape punishment. Screw FA, UEFA or FIFA rules that's assault in my book and I've not seen a law that says a football field is a place immune from prosecution. It is also the kind of attitude that allows a drugs CHEAT like Ferdinand to Captain England and a thoroughly unpleasant character like Terry to Captain England. It's also the kind of attitude that means Ashley Cole will get off scott free for 'frolics'.
Footballers should be immune from NOTHING whatsoever. If anything their over-inflated wages and media limelight gives them (in my eyes) a role model responsibility. Watch 8 and 9 year old kids playing a game of football and you'll see exactly what I mean.
I also blame the paying public. Fuelling SKY to feed ever more ridiculous amounts to the top of the football tree while clubs like ours and plenty of others struggle when 10% of premiership money would keep us all afloat. I also blame the paying public for paying ridiculous amounts of money to go to watch the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and others, not to mention cup-finals both domestic and European. Football will fall from a heavy height when this money dries up and dry up it will once the financial measures imposed on us humble public really start to kick in. When it does I will have little sympathy.
Back to the main topic. I'm all for people paying time for the crime. Clearly the club are standing by him. In keeping with the community feel of the club what is Hall going to be doing as part of his reparations, apart from jumping ship at the earliest opportunity. I hope I'm proved wrong here but the sceptic in me says otherwise. By some accounts Hall is far from angelic even without this matter.
'Get on with his life...' yes, but walk back into his previous job? How in truth is he fulfilling his side of the contract when he's in pokey? This 'provoked' biz doesn't sit well with me either..
