Looked it up on the database. 2002/3 season, but there's no team listing for it

got this from the official site though...

TOTTENHAM (from):- Gavin Kelly, Shwan Jalal, Rob Burch, Mark Hughes, Paul O'Donoghue, David Galbraith, Dean Marney, Walter Thomas, Danny Foster, Marcel McKie, George Snee, John Sutton, Jonathan Black, Nicky Wettner, Mario Noto, Mark Yeats, Jamie Slabber, Steven Ferguson, Rohan Ricketts, Joh Piercy, Johnnie Jackson.
so quite possible

Considering how good that Spurs side was apart from Ricketts & Jackson, i dont think many more went on to bigger things..

I kinda agree with that. Harris is undoubtedly a proven quality signing. Others have varying elements of doubt.

But what if everything you say is correct - but 9 other clubs have done the same (for arguments sake). We could be hugely improved, finish mid table, and most would see it as a failure. All I'm saying is you need to factor in the competition.

Crawley will be up there, despite being the biggest bunch of ***** you can imagine and everything thats wrong about modern football, Rovrum have invested a lot this season (though admittedly they always seem to do that and regularly underachieve), Bristol Rovers also....thats only 3 and i don't claim to have chapter and verse on post season activities throughout the league, but hopefully you get my point.

I too am quietly optimistic about our chances and am looking forward to the season, but being a Shrimper for many a year now I am also fully prepared for optimisim to turn into a good hard kick in the dangleberries.

To be honest mate I'm not too concerned with the vast majority of the other clubs. Crawley (spit) are gonna be up there simply because of their ££££ - if they start the season in an average manner they'll just splash loads towards the end of the August window. Rotherham are a decent side but I have a feeling Le Fondre may be leaving soon which will hurt them badly. Port Vale have Adams back so it will be interesting to see what they do. In terms of Swindon I really don't think they'll start that well given the fact they've lost their best players and have a new and untried manager (and a crazy one at that!) in charge. Plymouth have released almost all of their squad and may struggle initially I feel. Bristol Rovers have lost the likes of Will Hoskins and a couple of other key players, think they'll do OK but not especially concerned by them at this stage. Can't see Accrington doing as well this season without a couple of their best players who have now left. Shrewsbury and Oxford (in particular with the signing of Leven) have bought well, has their business been as impressive as ours though? I would say probably not, particularly if Ricketts signs......

I'm not worried about anyone, there's 4 spots available and IMHO we've got as good a chance as anybody!

Ricketts has just tweeted that he hopes to join the squad in Scotland if the deal can get done...

An (un)likely story...

Is he joining? Just blink once for yes and two for no and I wont say a word...

I don't know if he is joining, he is going to Scotland though,(possibly) maybe the club want to get a better look at him as the feedback from his previous recent clubs is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

I would seriously be amazed if he flies up there without some sort of offer in place. Then again, he has to sign a contract somewhere right? Right? Am I right?!
