Ricketts subbed in 58th minute today.

Best of luck to the lad, wherever he ends up.

At least we can now draw a line under this saga.

Too be fair he played 45 yesterday too and ps said he wasn't fit yet, but still, seems to be a 'no' on this evidence. Shame as he seems a top lad. Wait and see now I guess.

I'd be astonished if we signed Ricketts after this weekend's performances. Showed virtually nothing. TBH after not scoring in these 2 games PS is obviously in need of a striker over any other position at the moment.

Yeah but we have 5 strikers already, so unless Paterson leaves I can't see us signing another.
Corr: injured currently, may get injured later in the season, need decent cover for him.
Harris: going to be our main man, but like corr could pick up knocks.
Blair: I prefer him as a winger, where shooting isn't as vital a job (although it would still be nice if he could)
Crawford: didn't impress last season, expect him to go on loan
Pato: clearly out of favour, hopefully someone takes him
Asante: has something about him, whether he is ready yet I don't know.
There are only 2 strikers there who I would be confident could find the net, we need at least 1 more striker who can score to cover injuries

So we have a striker who scored over twenty goals last season and millwalls greatest ever goal scorer, how many league two teams have this? and now people think that on a shoestring budget we should find a third 'quality striker' some people want the moon on a stick

Indeed. And with only two wingers I'm not sure how much service whoever plays up front will get anyway.

How many wingers usualy play in a match then? Don't remember the last time I saw a team playing with 3 on the wing.

Well we've usually played one striker over the past year and yet people want us to sign a seventh one. A bit of cover for Hall & Johnson doesn't seem to me to be a bad idea.

I'd have to agree. In an ideal world we'd sign one winger and one more striker, whether that happens though is anyone's guess.....

Yep, agreed - we does need cover for Hall & Johnson, I wouldn't say anything about Ricketts yet, I would see what he can do against Ipswich on friday, as he would have weeks of training and getting fitter too.

Personally I think we'll either thrash out a deal now or let him go, can't see him being kept on trial next week. Either he has to sign or move on, after all he's gonna wanna get himself fixed up somewhere asap before the season starts - he won't wanna risk wasting his time here if a deal can't be agreed.

Hang on a minute.........even if RR would be prepared to submit himself to another trial (unlikely) , is it even possible? Am I imagining it or isn't there a limit of two matches that a player can be on trial for???

Well that's it, we're probably in for a fine then...........or we'll be relegated to the Conference for fielding an unregistered player :omg:.
Seriously though, I thought that there was a limit, or am I getting my knickers in a twist as per usual.

Maybe because 2 of them were in Scotland, being under a different FA the rules maybe different, same with Leonard.
