Agree its become a long running farce but given his statements below I am hoping RR will have chosen 'the better in the hand' and signed at what we could offer.

From his article about why he signed for a club in Moldova..

I have no idea of the finer points mate.

But, after his "average" showing at the weekend, I think most would be shocked if he were now offered a deal on the back of it.

Particularly after PS came out and said he wants two strikers!!

Forget Ricketts. He's not signing. What was in evidence at the weekend was just how much we are going to struggle if we rely on Crawford or Asante this season. We badly need a striker, preferably two.

This account looks like it was only setup earlier today.

All of the 16 tweets regarding various transfer rumours this person has made, look legit enough.

Perhaps a Southend fan on the wind up.

As I said above, I would genuinely be shocked if this were true. As the impression I got from various people at or close to the club, was a move would be unlikely.

I have asked a contact to confirm either way...

If its not tweeted by Chris Phillips, then I simply refuse to believe it. If someone told me the earth was flat I would still have to have that confirmed by a tweet from the Echo stalwart before I took it to be true.
