If it is true then the man is a man with no morals, i say this because lets young woodyard go after years in our youth set up, next season could have been big for him

@CJPhillips1982: A club spokesman has just told me he has heard nothing about Ricky Duncan going to Arsenal or Phil Brown applying for Sheffield Utd job.

Letting Woodyard go is the first (and only) good decision Brown's made so far.

Never ever a FL player. Tries hard, but limited. Anyway, besides the point of this thread. I hope we tell PB to stick his job up his backside.

i would like JE here think he would do well, PB can do a job here but don't trust him.
players only get better by playing END OFF, lets look at england, a quote i always here is "lack of experiance", fair comment, but how do you get experiance?

I hope he get this job and go, then we can have a manager who will be here for 2 years max! You guys have to remember he live in Bolton, what we expect? What we need is a manager who is local and around M25 area.

Irresponsible rumour mongering.

Don't go round getting my hopes up.

This is like the Alvin Martin sacking rumours all over again.

Won't happen. Massively bank rolled at Newport

A few weeks ago this place was full of rumours that big news would break over the summer months. Is this the news now I am wondering?

Edinburgh would be mental to leave Newport and come here. They have cash to burn and are a club on the up. We, quite frankly, do not and are not.

Can't quite see it myself. Not only would Sheffield United probably aim their sights a little higher than a man with a fairly dismal record in recent years, but Brown's actions (releasing players, conducting scouting, re-shaping back room staff) aren't really that of a man already looking for a way out. Shame, though.

. There were many other candidates - Coughlan, Harris, Barker, Devonshire, Edinburgh - and that's without really thinking.

Am I missing something here? Whether or not PBs the right man for the job remains to be seen and I like many have my reservations but he's here now so I wish him all the best. How on earth can you say 3 men who have managed a grand total of 1 professional game between them are better options than a man with managerial experience in the top level of football?!

Newport are Professional. I'm pretty sure that Rushden were when Edinburgh was there as well.

Hang on, Newport get promoted after being bankrolled by a millionaire & suddenly JE is the new Alex Ferguson to many on here!!

God people go off at rumours ,and thats all it is a rumour. as for JE ,big deal he took a club who are bankrolled by a millionaire from the Conference to league2.When RM had money to splash didnt our manager at that time (TILLY ) almost take Southend to the summit, And what happened when the money ran out.
