New hattrick season

My English E-T striker is currently up for sale, gives me 5 weeks to source a younger and more rounded replacement. Most of my trainees are foreign but none of them will ever contribute too heavily towards wages as they won't reach supernatural in any skill.

What do you think is the optimal level for a players primary skill for the new multi skillers? I reckon about Brilliant/World Class with secondary skills around Formidable/Outstanding should be ok. Ie: Wingback with Brilliant Def - Formidable wing with also some PM to about Solid/Excellent should be ok

I'm looking at around supernatural as a base skill. You can train up to supernatural by the age of 21, leaving 5 or 6 years to top up their secondary and still having a player young enough to sell at the end of it.

Secondaries are more important, but primaries will still be the most useful and the biggest restraint to primaries is wages. Supernatural should be easily affordable for most developed teams and shouldn't be too high to be badly effected by skill decreases.

If anyone fancies putting in an early bid, it would be appreciated as I've my eye on signing someone tomorrow if I can raise some extra cash.

He's up for £2m, seems quite a lot but won't take too much effort to get him to double supernatural by 26. Passing is a worry though.

B, it seems to me that the new match engine will be using passing as the main secondary for a striker with the winger skill, although still useful, less effective than it is today:

Forwards
Normal: Will start to benefit from the winger skill (below half as much as a forward towards wing). Scoring will contribute about 20% less to the side attacks, instead passing will contribute to the side attacks (more than the loss of scoring).
Defensive: Winger skill will contribute to the side attacks (but less than a normal forward). Scoring will contribute more in the middle, but much (almost 50%) less on the side. Passing will contribute much more instead. A technical forward will receive even more bonus on their passing skill (but the bonus is not that big this time).
Towards wing: Will lose about 1/3 of their winger contribution and almost as much scoring on the side, instead passing will contribute more (but less than the total loss of winger/scoring). Scoring will matter about 20% more, and passing a bit less, in the middle.

The lack of a speciality and passing might hinder the price, but I'd have thought maybe £2.75m.

I was after a 26yo and 93 days world class def, magnificent PM who was listed for £2.3m. He went for £3.25m  If you get my guy B, its a bargain. He's high magnificent, has set pieces and solid passing. Can't understand why he's not selling for £1m+

Having no set piece taker he'd certainly come in handy! No chance of getting him at that price though.

Well the cull to cut wages didn't start too well 2 titanic IMs failed to meet reserve so 60K wasted - on the plus side swapped a Titanic winger for Super with passable defending and plenty of time to train - will double as WB and winger

Finished 4th but have managed to shave 65K off the wage bill and started the process of rebuilding the training regime. Got a 50K full house for the last game of the season and managed to hold champions to a 2-2 draw.

Possibly looking at the season after next for a promotion push.

Sold an ageing WC forward for 900K this morning as well as a YP for 400K plus
(passable in playmaking, passing and scoring, solid SPs )

Will need one forward and one IM for next season no urgency just yet. I have 3.6 mill in the bank and the the opportunity to spend an afternoon trawling for English replacements for the current team to cut wage bill even further though players seem to be strengthening lineups for playoff games so maybe not the best time to pick up a bargain.

Still only got one trainee for the new multiskill regime but hopefully due 2 pops on Thursday to sell and swap out.

New ShrimperZone Youth League is up and I've added some new spots in case anyone else wants to join. I assume those that were already in it will remain in unless they drop out.

I've now deleted the old league as nothing seemed to be happening. As soon as I'm able I will set a new one up.

Same 4 as last time are in so I've closed it off to make sure we get our matches on Thursday.
