Breaking News National League Statement

If we could be assured of how the money is going to be spent a couple of thousand season tickets covers that. Not sure how many are held back right now.
A common misconception is that say 10 ST are sold that would generate £3800.Of course if every one buying a ST paid that would be the case but when you factor in concessions, juniors, under 9s etc I doubt the average sum is £250 so £2500 but VAT (ironically) is included so that’s £400 k net so say 2k season tickets would amount to £200k that might satisfy the 23/8 deadline but there wouldn’t be any funds to drip feed into the cash flow as the season progresses

Rubbish! We will pick up points!! We have lost Chris wreh only and benton, hardley going to affect us going forward. We finished 7th last season with this group of players who are tried and tested at this level,we haven't lost a preseason friendly and confidence in the squad must be high.
Doubtful, unless anything changes in the next few days. We have also lost Steeeve and Hobson - Lomas and Mooney are likely to leave and we currently do not have contracts for Bridge, Ralph, Sandat and JD (I have probably missed others). The youngsters we will be forced to name on the bench are very inexperienced (not even of the level of those we had to play when Sol Campbell was in charge). I applaud 100% the loyalty of those players still here but I doubt they are feeling highly confident,

In terms of getting to the number of 16, can we bring players in on a non contract basis. Would this mean we could get players on a pay as you play basis??? Or have to make do with kids for numbers

You may well be right YB. But two can play at that game, can't they? The buyer can always walk away unencumbered, if they don't get the deal they want.

They can but it’s less the sword of Damocles and more King Solomon’s.

I think he might get the 10 point penalty it could mean any buyer may say because you cant keep your house in order We want a massive reduction in the asking price .As you have doomed the club .
A 50% price drop from £1 to 50p?

The club is for sale for £1.

So assuming this is why the tickets haven't gone in sale yet, waiting on seeing what was said, so guess they'll be up tommorow or Friday

I wonder if Martin and Co will stay in Essex. Hes not exactly going to be on the Xmas card lists for a very , very long time. Thats the nicest way I can put it, even if he sells now, , given what hes put people through , and the way he has treated very special loyal folk, our club and Community

Glad to see progress is being made for you! We (Oldham) will hopefully still turn up in force next week…..I know a few are asking if we should boycott but I think on balance it may be better to help put some £ into the club so you can at least navigate that August deadline
The opposition fans get it... by attending you are putting money into the club and helping keep us alive.

Thanks @Ritchierich. If only all of our fans felt the same way.

A much needed statement and very fair and it also allows every team we play away an extra 15,000+ smackers in away tickets unlike the £300 we get most weeks.UTB
