FA Trophy Round 5 Southend United vs Sittingbourne.

Another decent home game against a lower league side. However these games are never easy as proved against Southport.
Probably the club will again only open the North and East which is a shame but understand the reasons why
Wouldn't be so sure on that. Just had a look on the Sittingbourne site and they have issued a rallying cry saying they want to bring the whole town to Roots Hall. It is their Cup Final, Wouldn't be surprised if they had around 600 to 700 supporters on the day.

Would be surprised if they didnt bring more than 500

They are flying as said, 12 straight wins on the trot at home, only one defeat in 23 . Promotion to next level pretty much assured
Scored more than 4 goals, twelve times
Hope they are not packed with lively young things

This could be embarrassing....
That’s my thinking too! A three division gap can disappear quickly in a cup game. They’re in great form too, whereas we’re in, shall we say, average form.. It most definitely has banana skin written all over it. Hope Kev takes it seriously.

This will be an absolutely huge game for them. As they are on fire and scoring for fun, they have nothing to lose, which means we could be on the wrong end of an upset. We need to take this threat really seriously!

Yes that would be great.
And if we did lose in the Final, good to lose to a very nice club.
I’ve seen FGR lose an FA Trophy final, at Villa Park against Canvey.
I was there for that. A sign of how far we have fallen. I can’t get engaged emotionally with the trophy. It just reminds me of our ‘ non leagueness’ now
Either way should we make it I want to be up against whatever team will bring the biggest crowd. Probably aldershot
