FA Trophy Round 5 Southend United vs Sittingbourne.

Isn't that keeper Hillsom who we had on loan recently? He signed for Salisbury after leaving us.
According to Kentonline it's Dan Lincoln.

Salisbury: Lincoln, Silva, Ragguette, Leggett, Carroll, Sommerton, Jombati, Watts, Dore (Perez 62mins), Elliot-Wheeler, Coppin (Coxe 80mins). Subs not used: Rutte, Penny, Lewis.

Looks like Hilson left Salsibury after 1 month and is now at Enfield

Surely yes—some much bigger attendances but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Cup Final referred to as a cup-tie.

It certainly is often referred to as such in competition rules etc (e.g. (b). The Cup shall be presented to the club which wins the Final Tie (“the Winner”).)

2007 saw over 50,000 attend the final tie between Kidderminster and Stevenage at the "new" Wembley.

I, and about 28,000 others, attended the first ever Trophy Final between Macclesfield and Telford in 1970.

He has also played 12 games for Middlesex CCC a few years back. Now plays for Berkshire.

Fair play, everyone's entitled to a change of heart.
For the Southport tie we shouldn't be risking first choice players for a meaningless tinpot trophy ?

The magic of the cup eh !
And yet I was still there for southport.

I'd love a day out to Wembley, I'd just rather make the play offs and not lose players to long term injury to a team from tier 8

The final in 2007 was the first competitive game at the new Wembley, so would have attracted extra fans (that was the reason I went)

This is absolutely winnable now. We’ve had the square root of f all to celebrate in recent years. For me this is a priority! A club like ours should be able to entertain a cup run alongside the league, and I think we can
Don’t forget good cup runs and Southend United are two things that don’t normally go together
