Breaking News F.A Cup 1st Round draw. Southend United vs Charlton Athletic

Also Charlton will have the memory of being giant killed by Cray Valley paper Mills last season, hopefully we can follow suit, but we will need to be far more decisive in the final third.

Hopefully, something that we start delivering on from Saturday at Rochdale.

Charlton won the replay 6-1 after a 1-1 draw at the Valley. They then lost 2-0 at Gillingham in the second round.

Still a valid point. Charlton are not the premier league side of the 90s.

They are a fairly decent league 1 side and with home advantage, are beatable.

If we did. It could hardly be called a giant killing.

IF we win, and I think that’s a bit IF, it will 100% be a giant killing. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we are a National League club who has lost to the likes of Maidenhead and Sutton at home. We will have to perform 100s of times better to beat a decent League One side in Charlton.

Mr Macauley Bonne you have the opportunity to do the funniest thing...
He did it last year, scoring for Gillingham when they beat the Addicks in the second round....another reason for the Charlton fans not to like him. The other scorer for the Gills was Timothy Dieng. There were 1608 away fans for that short trip.
