Current squad - and Louis Lomas tweet today

Only if you have a medical certificate indicating the player will be out for 14 days or more.

Or you have less than 11 fit players, or the goalie is injured
Going to be really tricky finding players who can come in for two weeks. 14 days is less than a loan so assume it'll usually be unemployed players with no match-fitness.

Real challenge for the coaching staff.

The rules go onto mention that the replacement signing cannot be named in the same team as the injured player - so presume you can retain the replacement for longer than 2 weeks - that's just how long the injured player must
be estimated to be out for in order to bring in a replacement. But I agree it is likely to be difficult to get players in on non contract terms let alone ones that are then further restricted by conditions on when they can play

Has Andrew signed for any club or is he waiting to sign for the mighty Blues?

Footballers are either contracted ( professional) or non contract amateur

Professional footballers can’t decide to change to being a non contract player for a week or two whilst players do change from one to the other there are strict controls .

What that means that any non contract player can only be paid expenses as opposed to a wage so you aren’t going to sign players who are still without a club on a non contract basis nor will they likely sign for expenses that are acceptable to the authorities

I'm very much assuming that we're going to be fishing in the leagues beneath us!

Do you think Ralph and Bridge have 'signed' on non contract terms - moving from pro to amateur? Or do you think we've received some kind of exception for them ?

I've also thought, and posted previously, that these rules seem very out of date for what is now essentially a professional league
