Is Murdoch some kind of Bond villian? I mean, if he instructs such bollocks to be printed is there some sort of end product that requires a tuxcedo clad hero to sort it out. Hope he gets his leg over with some dusky beauty.

I fully expect it in The Sun, just not in The Times!

Kay, sadly like me, you're probably old enough to remember The Times prior to 1981, before Murdoch got his greasy paws on it. At that time it still had some integrity and stature. Now, even though journalistically it may be more eloquent than its gutter running mate, you need to remember that it still comes from the same dirty stable.

By some dusky beauty, you're not talking about Wendy? I think the tuxcedo clad 'hero' is a bit off the mark......he's usually bare chested.

You really couldn't make this up could you! .............talking about Bond and spies (not forgetting a 'jerry'atric who wields influence in N°10!). So, Murdoch and Putin, through his ex-wife, colluding to destabilise Europe by pushing for a Brexit vote..............I see it all now. Think we'll have to wait for the film, to see how it finally turns out. Surely there's got to be a rôle for Mick Jagger, somewhere in there?

Bare chested? He always knocks seven bells out of the baddies before grabbing the girl without a scratch on him. What sort of Bond films do you watch? And the baddie always gets it, stop panicing.

Personally, I want Barna to get the part in the next one.........for real!!

I think the big problem for everyone at the moment, is trying to differentiate the goodies from the baddies.

I know. You do know I voted remain? I have fears but not enough to make me paranoid. Not yet anyway.

Yep, I know you were one of the good guys who won't have to apologise later for your actions! :winking: paranoia? I'm sure you'll do the right thing again, in voting for Leadsom in September. :winking::smile:

In years to come, we'll look back at this week with a chuckle.

"Remember that Leadsom who wanted to be PM?"
"****, yeah. I'd clean forgotten about her."

Someone's suggesting that Gove may now be allowed on the ballot despite coming third in the initial vote, potentially making him the Portugal of the Tory leadership race!

Seems the 1922 Committee are supposed to find a second candidate if there is only one. Hmm...

Meanwhile:

Oh bugger! there goes my best hope of the bloody Tories continuing to tear themselves to pieces. See that May has started angling for the centre ground, hoping to pick up disaffected Labour voters. Mind you, if it's the same kind of 'one nation' crap that Cameron puported to offer.......................she won't get very far.

So, on 24th June 2016 Cameron says he's going to resign and as a result there should be a leadership contest.

Enter May, Johnson, Gove, Crabb, Leadsom and Fox. after a Borgia style assassination Johnson goes. Then comes the first round of MP voting, off with the head of Fox and Crabb thinks better of carrying on. Down to three then. Next voting round and bye bye Gove. Two horse race between the two aspiring 'Iron Maidens'. From nowhere Leadsom commits dramatic political suicide giving an interview to Murdoch's Times. Next working day, bye bye Leadsom. During all of this Theresa May does very little on the speeches front (a bit like she did through the referendum campaign).

So only 18 days on from Dave calling time on his job all the faces in the frame apart from Theresa are no more. I wonder whether Mr C will stay until September now.
