Brexit negotiations thread

If I had the inclination to reply, I certainly don't have the time............as I indicated. Where do I suggest Brexit voters must back Putin? I've suggested that both Putin and Trump, who view Europe at best as a competitor and worst as an enemy, are delighted to see any fragmentation and disunity. Both are enthusiatic supporters of Brexit. Perhaps you should think well on that..................and why?

Mr B had the time to think up and post his questions but you don't have the time or inclination to reply to any of the questions. I asked a few questions a few pages back and only got one reply. Maybe none of you have have any answers.

Have I got this right?

You don't favour another referendum now because it will delegitimise the 2016 result and in turn undermine democracy but if JC doesn't get his way with regard to a GE before 2022 you're all in favour of it?

So, we leave the EU and then in Spring of 2021, because there hasn't been a GE, we have another referendum to see if we want to rejoin?

Or, to put it another way. How can you have a referendum in Spring 2021 to see if we want to leave the EU when we've already left due to the result of a referendum held in 2016 which you agree should be respected.

Absolutely staggering.........

I think the only circumstances I would favour another referendum would be if Article 50 were extended but you're right that I'd prefer a general election. In any case, it remains very much a hypothetical issue atm.

The jumped up little dictators in Brussels trying to advance their empire into places like the Ukraine was not only naïve but one of the most dangerous decisions so far. No wonder Putin isn't happy. Its his job to put Russia first. Most remainers know that trying to site nuclear weapons on his door step brings us closer to war rather than peace.

You probably cheered when Macron went out of his way to snub Trump even when came to handshakes. Well so did I, for different reasons of course. No wonder Trump will put us top of the list whilst ignoring a little bought and payed for puppet, that has caused his own capital to be ablaze.

Back on topic the fact that you have poorly excused yourself from Bielzibubz post is because its the reason we have Brexit and its the reason people all over Europe are rejecting the EU

The fact you or any other remainers have no answers is why the EU will be finished in less than 10 years.

Drop your trousers, bend over and prepare for a good deal.

If you don't recognise that this is a way of buying influence, what is there to say. Fortunately, the Labour Party being the largest political party in Europe is funded by its members and does not have to prostitute itself to big business or shady oligarchs.

Of course it’s a way of buying influence, why do the trade unions give the Labour Party millions every year?
It’s to have influence.

As the Labour party was formed in order to give parliamentary representation to the working classes, it is eminently reasonable and justifiable if TU members wish to contribute to party funds.

Whatever happened to MP's being put in their privileged places to do their job, namely representing the will of their constituents. They had the chance to vote according to their views in June 2016.

Older Zoners, (like me), will remember that Harold Wilson gave Labour MP's a free vote on the original legislation which took the UK into the EEC,at a time when Heath's Tories were whipped.

(As I've told you before) the EU will still be around long after you and I are dead.

So sorry to disappoint you. It's what's called a precedent.

I asked a question why, not whether it has been done before. Because something has a precedent doesn't automatically make it right. Every MP had the chance to put their PERSONAL vote on a ballot paper back in June 2016. Their job now is to do what the majority of their constituents put them their to do. Enact the will of those according to how the majority voted. Their personal opinions and voting choice should never come into it when a national referendum has been called and an outcome forthcoming.
