Looking at the sentencing guidelines he's probably likely I'd found guilty to get somewhere between fine and community service to 26 weeks inside, assuming he wasn't the ringleader.
Is it me, or does that club statement read like it's been written by a 5 year old ?

That's a fairly decent amount of information there about how to defraud the elderly... where were you in Feb 15 and how long have you known Nile Ranger?
:winking:
Love the way Nile ranger is innocent until proved guilty but Adan King is guilty even after proved innocent.
No, it's not you. A 5 year old who doesn't know the difference between affect and effect.
There are other errors too.
Yep, that's the thing about grammatical correctness. It's far more important than the statement the club are making.
If it's what I think it is then it involves calling usually a elderly person on their landline pretending to be from a London based police station. They then claim they have in custody a male with a cloned bank card and the "victim" is to phone their bank immediately to get their cards cancelled. Of course the panicked elderly person does this straight away not knowing that the fraudsters are still on the line (they haven't hung up) They then pretend to be the persons bank and proceed to take bank details including pin number. In many cases they send a legit mini cab firm around to collect the victims card and proceed to clear out the account. There are other variations to this but the one I have described is typical.
Suffice to say, if he is guilty, I hope he rots, if Southend United employ him after a guilty verdict - then I'm finished with supporting them.
If he is innocent (and I hope he is) then above changes obviously.

sounds like you've already made your mind up... better change your user name now
Don't you think a official club statement on something so serious should have a little time and care afforded to it?
Standards are important after all.
loads of misprints and stuff in the echo....does not bother me as well, I just want the storyOf course standards are important, but Southend have previous for this sort of thing and it doesn't come as a complete shock to me when they make grammatical errors. I'm more concerned that I clearly understand the message that they are giving, that's my first concern. If a grammatical error makes something unclear then I'm with you on correctness. If it doesn't then I hope for better next time.

Oh my god the Grammmmer and spelling fuzzz are oh here....zzz zzz
It's very important and timely that the club issued a statement, so thumbs up for that, but I would have taken a little more care to state the facts a little clearer.
Namely that other people were involved. That the charges are conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to launder money.
That the case is bailed until 11th January 2017.
The grammar doesn't overly matter, but the statement suggests Nile acted alone, which is clearly not the case.
