Woolwich-Killing

I thought it was rhetorical. I have got used to whatever anyone says you tell them they are wrong and you then tell them what they should have said.

They are obviously angry that another brit has been killed by someone in the name of religion. Not sure storming the streets is the right way to go about it, but it's interesting that the police deem that more of an incident than a pair of extremists killing an innocent man.

Have you got a small moustache and jackboots:stunned:

To me it seems quite simple.

I would quite like to withdraw all of our troops from war zones. I don't really see why British lives are being wasted both at home and abroad? I think most people forgot what we were fighting for a long time ago.

With the money we are saving I would like to beef up security and start to actually deport all these idiots that want to bring carnage to this once great nation. No EU intervention lets get these idiots like Choudary, Abu Hamza etc and lets get them out today. They have no place here. Anyone that wants to burn poppys, abuse the familys of dead soldiers etc - they can call go too.

Simple.

You cant deport someone if they are British though.

Definitely should be stamping on anyone who incites hatred though.

Reading this thread fills me with utter despair. Whenever one of these incidents happen, I have a forlorn hope that some good will come of it, that the Islamist apologists will realize the error of their ways and finally acknowledge that we are at war, a war that cannot be won with multicultural platitudes and condemnation of those who rise up in anger against the murderous savages who perpetrate unspeakable horrors to defend a medieval way of life that would slaughter the very people who make excuses for it. But no, the same cliches and pieties are ladled on.

Would a nuclear missile from Iran finally convince you?

And there was me thinking you were patriotic. Personally, I think, with all its problems, this is still a great nation.

The way you talk its like everyone is behind what those two lunatics did.

Everyone is disgusted about what they did. Everyone also knows there are elements of Islam that will continue to carry out these kinds of acts.

Not everyone blames every single Muslim for it though or sees every muslim as a part of it.

What action is it that you feel should be taken to win this "war" ?

The so-called 'Moderate Muslims' need to be told to get their house in order and to play an active role in stopping these horrors. When that happens, I might start believing that it is only this tiny minority who want to destroy us. But I'm not holding my breath.

Well we know that the ones carrying out these acts are completely nuts, Im not sure how anyone can talk sense into them.

Most Muslims completey reject their actions, but I take your point about the Islamic "leaders" and organisations taking a more active involvement in challenging those mosques/individuals that do preach this crap. I think it can only be fixed from within.

In that case you and I are reading the same thing but understanding it differently.

From what I understood there isn't one person on here who has said this was anything other than a dispicable act. However:

  • Some are saying that this should lead to all foreigners being sent home. Others are pointing out these weren't foreigners.
  • Some seem to be saying that all muslims should be thrown out. Others are saying that the idea of collective responsibility is wrong because it criminalises the vast majority because of the actions of an extremely small minority.
  • Some are praising the EDL for "doing something". Others are pointing out that all they did was fight with the Police which probably won't get anyone anywere.

Some are suggesting we need to look at why these people act the way they do. That doesn't mean we have to bow to their "demands" once we found out what they are. It just means we have to listen. Without listening we won't know if anything can be done. If we don't listen we can't even hope to change them. If it turns out that whatever they want from us is unacceptable to the majority, and they won't change, then nothing changes. If they're then not happy they can leave.

For example, I believe that some muslim extremists have stated they want Britain to become a muslim country. That is quite obviously unacceptable, and would lead me to question why these people are here. If they want to live in a muslim country let them go and find one that will have them. I don't think many people would disagree with that.

But I don't see any cliches, I just see (for the most part) reasoned argument.

Did you come to this conclusion after reading The New Testament?

They are foreigners. And they should be shot like dogs. That is my reasoned argument.

Name one. Go on, just one.

But that's the thing. We simply don't know because it won't be publicised. If it were publicised these lines of communication (assuming they exist) would be closed down.

My gut feeling (for that's all it is) is that pickledseal is correct. Proving it would be impossible. But, proving the opposite would also be impossible.

There was one smashed in Canada a few months back because of a mosque in New York or smething reporting strange activity.
