Doesn't seem to be that tough - the Islamists seem to be going from strength to strength. I would suggest that you have a very tenuous grasp on the meaning of 'fascism'. The British stood alone against fascism, and it looks like a small subset of the British are being asked to do so again.

Back at you - when those lovely EDL members threatened to chop kids heads off or throw hang grenades into mosques does that not make them terrorists - or can only Muslims be terrorists?

They're nothing but glorified thugs - and to equate them to the brave souls that stood against Hitler & co is a pretty repulsive comparison.

Do you think it's a repulsive comparison to compare the Islamists to Hitler & Co? I would suggest that they would rather enjoy the accolade. As for the EDL threatening to chop peoples' heads off, I wasn't aware of that. But even if it's true, it strikes me as somewhat repulsive that your ire is drawn more by an idle threat than the actual act of decapitation.

Not at all, the heinous crime was utterly disgusting and I hope those ***** never see daylight again. I just do not buy into the paranoia of "Eurasia" and that everyone who calls their God Allah sees me as an enemy.

The Islamists aren't going from strength to strength although they may yet do if the EDL and assorted idiots start persecuting ordinary Muslims and radicalising them.

That's absolute rubbish in my opinion. I find it incredibly tedious to find the blame for this radicalism laid at the door of the EDL, when its source is there in black and white, in the Sura that the murderer quoted to the cameras (edited out by many but not all news outlets).

Except that isn't what I've said. I haven't blamed the radicalism at the door of the EDL, I've said that the EDL persecuting ordinary Muslims may have the effect of radicalising ordinary Muslims.

I don't think the Woolwich murder converts anyone to the cause of radical Islam. Persecuting all Muslims though is likely to build up resentment that may well convert moderate Muslims to more extreme forms of Islam.

Do you not see Islamism, with its holocaust denial, rabid anti-Semitism, medieval attitudes towards women and homosexuals, as a form of fascism, particularly in reference to its absolutism? Someone has to stand against that, and I salute my fellow EDL members for doing just that.

Between the time of the Dunkirk retreat and the US entering the war after Pearl Harbour, the British Commonwealth stood alone in opposing the fascists. The Soviets only fought Hitler when he attacked them. The French, Dutch etc had been defeated and many of the French were actively collaborating with the enemy.

And how do you know what the EDL are fighting for? Don't you think I might have a better idea than you?
