You don't enter into binding two year contracts if you're worried that you won't own the club. The NL lifted the embargo because they were satisfied that the club was for all intents and purposes under new ownership.

The players contracts are presumably binding on the club not COSU though?

I'm playing devil's advocate to some extent - the other point in favour is that the consortium have acted honourably, entering into contracts that you may walk away from would be against their modus operandi to date. So whilst I can see why some less scrupulous characters would enter these contracts whilst there is some doubt that they'd fulfil them, Id be surprised if the consortium have.
