I never got anything bound like that at uni. But then, I went to a university college...

Also, two of them? It's a thesis, not Lord of the Rings, man!

I reckon about 3 - 4 miles? I just "got lost" and found my way back.

Getting back into running form to take on a 10K and (possibly) a 1/2 marathon next year.

Good for you. I can't run more than 2km without my knees hurting for about a day afterwards. I haven't run for ages. I might try again this week though...

Can't say I've looked at the issue too much, but the main complaint I've been told is that the Black Cabs dispute that using a mobile's GPS/Map function to calculate fares is an equivalent of using a meter, which only they're licensed to do in London. So they're complaining that someone's had the audacity to infringe upon an effective monopoly.

And the fact that there are in excess of 80,000 Uber minicabs on the roads of London as opposed to about 19,000 black cabs which are registered. Also, chuck into the mix that Uber minicabs are openly touting by picking up fares without being pre-booked and parking on taxi ranks (another no-no) and you can see it isn't a even playing field. As I said before, I have little time for them but at least they know the rules of the road marginally better than Addison Lee and the like and know what a No Entry sign means.
