Question What is making you happy today?

I suggest you check out the Wikipedia magnet fishing page.

Magnet fishing.

It does sound good fun though and obviously has an environmental benefit.

Hmm, live and learn, I suppose I could always pop back there and tip what we put in the bin back in the canal ?.

I spoke to a mate at work who is a member of the Canal & River Authority and he says they will turn a blind eye to magnet fishing as it helps them clear them up in a small way.

Yeah, I guessed they would probably take a pragmatic view.

Post anything interesting you catch on here...

Look's like our younger daughter has got the top job in Paris she was told she was the number 2 for, after number 1 dropped out.

I forsee some regular trips up North from January.

Booking our honeymoon to Orlando. Cannot wait to go back to me and my wife's favourite place in the world. It is also where we got engaged.

Good for both of you, when are you going & when was the last time you went there?.
Bet you'll notice the price difference with the £'s current poor rate against the $.
Ironically this is the first time in 10 years, we haven't gone to Florida, due to the exchange rate. Prices still on par with UK, bargains still to be had, but not like recent years.

Thanks, we are going the last two weeks August next year, a little quieter compared with July and start of august.a bit of a wait. Yes the rate is shocking and it makes me very sad!

We are hitting all the Disney parks, and staying on site at Universal. Also doing KSC and Discovery Cove.

When we took the boys in April their favourite places were (surprisingly) Kennedy and Epcot. I don't know if you know, but it's really worth staying at Kennedy until late...ish. Each evening (around 5.30) they have a signing session in the shop with an astronaut. We have pictures of the boys with Jack Lousma, and they now have the t-shirts they were wearing (that he signed) in frames on their bedroom walls. We didn't realise at the time, but he's the guy that received the extremely famous message "Houston, we have a problem" from Apollo 13.

Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom is quite simply stunning. Not worth a 3 hour wait though. We couldn't get a fast pass for it, so got there early and did the rope drop. We queued for 30 mins doing that.

Thank you for your insight.

When we went last time they were building Pandora: World of Avatar so we are looking forward to this as well as Galaxy's Edge. So much has changed in 4 years!

We may get the space pass for KSC which includes lunch with an Astronaut which might be quite good. Am hoping for a launch whilst we are out in Orlando as they seem to launch every week these days!

When I went to Orlando when I was about 3 we saw the Atlantis shuttle on the launch pad which was due to take off on the day after we were there. We were going to wake up to watch it but so tired after a day at the parks, we missed it. - Never forgive my parents for that!

Is there a KFC at KSC?

No idea, I hope so. I'm having a Five Guys burger tonight (so weird saying that) I'll let you know how it was.

No, there's a standard cafe.

I went to Florida in 17 and the best bit was KSC. We did the round tour, met an astronaut, and was wowed by the immensity of it all. The parks were a little underwhelming. Although the Pandora ride was good - a fastpass was needed though (there's a trick to getting one - see the dibb website)

A launch was scheduled for the day before we went to KSC, but was delayed to the same day because of weather. We were very excited, until it was again also because of the weather!

I regret not going to see a shuttle launch almost as much as I regret not doing an Anglo Italian Cup away game.
