Oh completely. But I managed to learn how to burn an ISO image onto a disk, as well as edit the registry to change user passwords (XP), and use a password reset programme that worked (windows 8)

ps it was Ldnfatso's PCs with loads of photos on so well chuffed.

The rain half way into my 25 minute walk to Benfleet station.

I wear a lot of fabrics that you can't get wet.

The weather forecast for this weekend. I had planned on seeing Northampton v Sri Lanka, but may be having to make alternative plans....

Today is my last day at Ladbrokes.

Wow! Change of direction ahead or another similar type of job lined up?

I'm peeved that the neighbour that backs on to our garden decided to start strimming his jungle of an unmaintained grass while I was having a kip this afternoon after one of those sleepless nights that ended up with me awake at 3 and up at 4. He's stopped now, only did it for an hour

However, I am hopeful that this is the precursor to him replacing the knackered fence between our gardens that has been swaying precariously for the last 4 years! (It's his fence, btw, not mine)

Eek, hope that's your choice.

It wasn't. But with 14 years of service behind me I've been treated fairly, plus I've had my notice paid up too.

I posted about this in the "What's making you happy" thread so it is mixed emotions. Sad to no longer be working with some great people, but excited about what may lay ahead.

Rik Mayall's death. That really HAS hacked me off.

Are these real friends that you know and talk to face to face or facebook friends you have added to make yourself look popular, just asking like.

Lol, no real people I've worked with, drunk with, sat in boring meetings with and ate my sandwiches with. We joined the team (my previous) on the same day. Good luck to them, I just can't envisage working outside of NR!

Broaden your horizons MK, I hear there is an opening at Ladbrokes.

Ah as if I could fill the shoes of Uncle Leo....besides;

10 mins from home and no commuting hell into London.
Flexible working so I can take care of MK Jnr for another year.
A nice growing pension pot where I'm planning to retire in 17 years
Plenty of time to skive online.

It'd take something really special to prise me away!

Back fence being replaced by neighbours but STILL without gravel boards at the bottom so, at the moment, there is a gap of between 2 and 6 inches all the way along the bottom of it!!!
