Southend United seem well up for it.I can’t help thinking that the best thing for this Earth is for humanity to disappear.

I’d want maximum suck power from it at that price…The Dyson Gen5detect Absolute Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner. Always been a fan of Dyson technology but this latest offering is eye wateringly expensive at £850 from Argos.
I wouldn't even think of buying a vacuum at that price, how they can believe there is a popular market for it when the next gen is only 18 months away is beyond me.I’d want maximum suck power from it at that price…
I bought my car for £800 (admittedly its now 9 years since I bought my 2001 Fiesta but its outlived probably most peoples hoovers)The Dyson Gen5detect Absolute Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner. Always been a fan of Dyson technology but this latest offering is eye wateringly expensive at £850 from Argos.
Bought my car last year for £750. Insane to think there's a hoover on the market worth more than a vehicle.I bought my car for £800 (admittedly its now 9 years since I bought my 2001 Fiesta but its outlived probably most peoples hoovers)
At the end of the day its a hoover that sucks up dust although it sucks up viruses so could well have done with this back at the start of the pandemic.
I lease my vacuum cleaners so I am always driving the latest model.I wouldn't even think of buying a vacuum at that price, how they can believe there is a popular market for it when the next gen is only 18 months away is beyond me.
Last day of the Fiesta rolling off the production line.
Ford always missed a trick by not making a Ford razzle.I remember when they stopped printing Escort.
That's very considerate of them to bring a specialised vehicle to ensure the land they park on is left in clean and tidy. This will get interesting. The Irish travellers have pitched up on Gunners Park Shoebury. They were at Southend Rugby club. They come every summer and do the work hawking on the elderly of Thorpe Bay, and bordering nicer area of Shoebury. They were served the normal white bit of paper that gives them a week. It ran out today. Councillor Nick Ward said ''The travellers have been given until 6pm today to leave the site before they are forced to move on.''
Well, not only are they still there, a lot more mobile caravanette's and caravans have turned up. Now about 30 caravanettes and caravans. They've even parked some on the seafront road opposite, along with a rubbish truck.
To be fair, it's not a proper rubbish truck, but I think they call them flatbed trucks, like the one below. It had a load of junk in it.That's very considerate of them to bring a specialised vehicle to ensure the land they park on is left in clean and tidy.
Perhaps these travellers are a cut above the rest.... sorry got distracted by a pig and a unicorn flying past my window.
Guarantee that junk will be left behindTo be fair, it's not a proper rubbish truck, but I think they call them flatbed trucks, like the one below. It had a load of junk in it.
They may be taking the war chest and onions away on it this weekGuarantee that junk will be left behind
Where do you think they should go?Looks like they will be handed another bit of paper tomorrow, from a judge. Normally about 5 police cars move them on. But this year has seen the largest ever group pitch up that I've seen in Shoebury. So it will take a lot more police to move them on.
I like the way the reporter uses the word several, Lol. Several is more than two, but not many. There's about 30 caravans and caravanettes.
From the Echo
An unauthorised encampment was set up at the Bellway Homes site at Gunners Park on Friday evening.
Pictures seen by the Echo show several caravans on the housebuilder’s land.
It is believed the travellers arrived at the site after leaving Warners Bridge Park, in Sumpters Way, which is the home of Southend Rugby Club.
The Shoebury community has become frustrated, with one inhabitant saying on social media: “Residents are unhappy about the lack of response so far.”
But two councillors have confirmed they are doing everything in their power to remove the encampment.
They have homes in Ireland, and most of the ones that come here and on Canvey also live on traveller sites in Essex. It's well documented in print and on TV programs. They are not travelling like in the 60s and 70s because they had not many traveller sites and homes. Nowadays they travel to do hawking work in an area picked.Where do you think they should go?
