Rigid plastic packaging. The sort that's hermetically sealed round the edges with no discernible way in apart from scissors followed by brute force and guaranteed cut knuckles, Christ, I hate the stuff.

If you could wrap the grand kids pressies in that stuff then what an epic christmas morning openings event that would be with no sharp implement allowed.

I probably wouldn't be allowed to get away with that in it's entirety, but maybe original battery packs and spares? That may work.

The Pixies are supporting Kings Of Leon.

No really: A ground breaking, seminal 90s band starring musical icons Frank Black, Kim Deal and Joey Santiago are supporting some blokes with beards who did some catchy songs a few years back but sort of vanished and were easily forgotten.

Kim Deal's not in the current incarnation, but nitpicking aside, I agree completely. So much of what's wrong with the current music scene is very neatly summed up by a band of the magnitude of Pixies being reduced to the supporting act of band so mediocre it defies belief.

Didn't realise that.

I agree as long as they don't play any of the new stuff which is a bit **** in my opinion.

I'm seeing the Pixies next week at Brixton Academy. They have sold out 4 nights there I think. Them supporting anyone feels wrong but it introduces them to a new audience. And Hyde Park is 10 mins walk from where I work so if I can pick up a cheap ticket a couple of days before I'll be happy!
