Pulled a muscle in my back showing MK Jnr how to do head-over-heels...... must remember I'm not 10 anymore...:'(

I bet you haven't pulled a muscle. I bet you've put a rib out. The amount of times I've gone to my wife and said I've pulled a muscle in my back only to be told, after a few tests, that actually I've put a rib out, and the muscle has gone into spasm is unbelievable. It only takes a quick crack and it'll settle down.

I've had a really bad couple of weeks with my cats. One has had her ear removed because of skin cancer and then last week another one became ill suddenly and had to be put to sleep as she had an inoperable stomach cancer :'(:'(

To top it off, I've been unwell and the doctors thought I had an acoutic neuroma (brain tumour) but luckily (!!) it is only benign positional vertigo. However it is not pleasant, a constant feeling of head spinning and motion sickness. I nearly took Tinks out on Saturday after turning round too quickly when leaving after the game!!

Ah, sorry to hear that Sam. Kev's also had a bout of vertigo recently and it's not nice. Wish you better soon x

For the kids. Adults... not so much. Old bones don't bend and all that.

Lol, made me smile that you didn't get the pun! To be honest, it's not too bad. Sit on the floor, put your hands and feet flat on the floor (hands behind you), lift your bum and walk about. I can still do it quite easily at my advanced age!

Pretty much gone now thankfully.

Cancer needs to get shot with a thermonuclear rocket launcher right in the arse.

Just found out one of my favourite YouTubers has relapsed after already beating it once a few months back. Three years left now, the doctors say. He's only thirty odd. Bloody terrifying thought.

I was going to start a petition to ask the BBC to try to persuade William Hague to become the new permanent presenter. Politics aside, he's a very funny guy.

That's a decent shout; he's got a very dry wit. Can laugh at himself too, which is important.

Got a bit spiky with Osman and Clarkson last week didn't it?

Yeah, but it was very funny.

Agreed! Didn't know Osman had that in him. I'm a huge fan - love it when he is on Fighting Talk.

But this is all far too positive for this particular thread so....

Had a meeting with my manager's boss today. He said he wanted me working on a project with someone from my old firm. Fine; done that before.

Then he said the name of the person concerned. Not so fine. Absolute **** in fact.

I'm in a similar situation. I've moved roles within the same company, working on the same project, but from a different angle. The manager of the old team has just persuaded the manager of the new team that the two teams should work together on the project. It makes perfect sense, and will hopefully help move things on a bit quicker and help me justify my day rate, but it means I have to work with a guy who is very difficult to deal with. He simply isn't capable of giving a straight answer to a question which is very frustrating.
