What have you watched on TV?

I still think it has potential, there is alot to be improved though. Laverne & Carr are pretty superfluous to the whole thing. Mitchell & Brooker can be good but I think what the show needs is a straight man, someone who could do the serious stuff that the funny guys could then play off aswell. The interviews besides weight lose half their time due to the over enthusiastic applause/laughter every time the presenter speaks, they need to shut the **** up.

Also I'd like to see a segment with Peter Capaldi as Malcolm Tucker, showing winners & losers of the week's house of commons debates. Infact just draught Ianucci in, he'd sort it out.

It just seems incredibly immature without even coming close to satire.

TV's borked. Thank God for internet telly, lining up Skins in a bit (Dakota Blue Fanning should be fun to watch, bit weird though, last I saw of her was in The Golden Compass), then I'm gonna see if CSI'll play, then it's Hustle later and Primeval tomorrow, then Top Gear and Being Human Sunday.

Good job the girlfriend's out of town this weekend.

Dakota was easily the strongest performer in yesterdays episode. I'm starting to get used to skins unrealistic viewpoint on teenagers, for example, I've never met anyone who does Cocaine casually before going clothes shopping, but it was quite enjoyable.
Being Human is the one for me, excellent opening episode last week and Toby Whithouse's reputation is getting greater all the time.

Has anyone caught the awful coming of age on bbc 3?

I thought it was much improved this week with much stronger performances from Brooker, Carr and Laverne. It'll take a while to sort itself out but I thought it was encouraging.

Ianucci is a comedy God. Like your Tucker idea. I read somewhere that Chris Addison was in shot throughout the Alistair Campbell interview. I do hope that is true as that's genius if that is the case.

re-watching The Wire (4th time for me, 1st time for Mrs Pubey)... still absolutely love it, and Mrs Pubey is hooked now as well. Definitely one of those programmes that continues to deliver with repeat viewings.

Just watched the first two episodes of Charlie Brooker's new BBC Stint, "How TV Ruined Your Life."

Infinitely better than last weeks 10 O'Clock Live... Mainly because Carr and Laverne were removed.

Saw a few seconds of it while channel hopping. Not my idea of good tv I'm afraid.Very unfunny.

Anyone else looking forward to this Outcasts thing on BBC? Mondays at 9, Miranda Raison's well used to to that spot thanks to her tenure on Spooks, could be fun. And I believe I'm right in saying that Primeval and Hustle are wrapping up thier latest runs this week too.

Is Miranda Raison in Outcasts? Thought it was Hermione Norris.

I think Hustle has two more to go, and won't be on this week because of the 6 Nations egg chasing.

Brilliant telly every week. I was amazed that in the Brazillian Rainforests there's actually people who don't know who Lady Gaga and David Beckham are.

Those guys in PNG who made that tree-house (I'm massively under-selling it by calling it a tree-house, tree-palace maybe?) were astonishing. This programme is the BBC at its best.

Try and catch the ones you've missed, though sometimes it's "look at what animals we're slaughtering this week."

Also the bit with the bloke climbing the tree for honey while getting stung to f*ck! And the baby who was casually waving away angry bees. I was stung once when I was 10 and cried like a girl. Amazing.

I had nothing but admiration for those children who caught tarantulas and then cooked them over a fire like marshmallows. I'd like to see a few of the tracksuited and earrringed little herberts round my way try that.

Anyhow, off to the iPlayer....
