What have you watched on TV?

Is Miranda Raison in Outcasts? Thought it was Hermione Norris.

I think Hustle has two more to go, and won't be on this week because of the 6 Nations egg chasing.

Oh wait, hang on, Raison was Jo from Spooks, right? Yep, you're right, it's Norris. And about Hustle. (Guess who doesn't check the schedules here?) Still, one out of three ain't bad... oh, wait, that's not right, is it?

10 o'clock live - a bit better but still a bit smug. Not Going Out is of course the best thing on telly.

New series of Grandma's house is being commissioned though.

I've still to see a full episode of Not Going Out as I keep on tuning in half way through.

10 O'Clock Live is slowly, but surely, getting there... Brooker was good last night with his insight into Sky's coverage of the Egypt Crisis, but I'm still struggling to see why Laverne's involved. I'd also get rid of Carr and add Tim Key.

Gave up after 2 episodes.

Thought that would be the case. I don't blame you as the first couple of episodes weren't particularly good (I remember cringing at times), but as with all character based comedy it takes time for the characters to develop. By the end of the series, the characters and themes had evolved in a nuanced way and had really come into their own.

I'd recommend giving it a second go.

Just watched the first two episodes of Charlie Brooker's new BBC Stint, "How TV Ruined Your Life."

Infinitely better than last weeks 10 O'Clock Live... Mainly because Carr and Laverne were removed.

Didn't do it for me and I'm normally a fan of Brooker. Just seemed he was taking pot-shots at easy targets, much like his anti-Sarah Palin skit o the first 10 O'Clock Live.

Still, he's good and I'm sure I'll give it another chance.

It's still not a patch on Newswipe, primarily because it's too focused. I much prefer Brooker when he's given a topical free-roam and allowed to gun at whatever's recent.

I saw Brooker on BBC breakfast last week (looking like he had literally just got out of bed!) he said there will be another series of Newswipe soon!

good news. Can't say that 10oc live has really done it for me.

I see I'm not the only one who gives links to the Trotskyist comic on SZ.:winking:

Did anyone see (or attempt to see) Outcasts on BBC1? :zzzzz: Set on another planet? It looked ropier than a 1970's version of Dr. Who in a Welsh quarry with wobbly scenery. Huge (and no doubt very costly) fail.
