What have you watched on TV?

Call The Midwife - didn't expect to enjoy this, but I found myself engrossed in it, maybe because I've just become a father, and maybe because the East London slums are where my dad originally hailed from back in the day.

Sherlock - again, had problems with this. The Reichenbach part had absolutely nothing to do with the storyline apart from the first few minutes.

  Spoiler:
Moriarty is without a doubt the best thing in it and now he's dead. It's going to be extremely tough to explain how Sherlock could survive a 100ft drop onto concrete.

Overall series 2 was not a patch on series 1.

Agreed but still worth a watch compared to other dross on offer.

....and part 2 was excellent, no ad breaks, Sky+ fast forward. :raspberry:

I didn't think part two was as good as the first, but overall it was a very fine show. Fair play to Sky for starting to produce some good home-grown TV - that new Ruth Jones programme, Stella, isn't half bad either.

Mrs DS and I are totol late comers to Sherlock, infact last night's was our first episode, fantastic stuff, left Mrs DS shouting How! at the screen at then end. Will watch the first series now.

More 'Something Special Out and About' please. And 'Mr Bloom's Nursery'. Both marvellous.

Never heard of those. I can do Power Rangers and TMNT though.

Or, if I wanted a job on CBeebies, I could knock up a Come Outside or a Playdays. Better than that ****ing Dora the sodding Explorer ***** they put on now.

The actor who plays Mr Bloom created the thing himself, used to do all the puppets. My youngest loves it.
.

Didn't know that. It really is a genuinely good show that although is compostarium (sp?) an actual word? I know one shouldn't use CBeebies as a babysitter, but there are times when it's just the ticket.

We've all done that......some programmes it's good to sit and watch together but sometimes, if you have dinner to make or washing to sort out, the tv can be your best friend and baby sitter! Plus it can be used for conditioning your child - mine knew that if they were sitting watching "Blues' Clues" then I was making their lunch! The good ol' Pavlov theory!

Masterchef back to it's brilliant best after going all X-Factor last season. Once I thought I could have a go, as I'm not a bad cook, now even the starting contestants are cooking Michelin level grub.

And then a programme about two women who can't stop breeding. :stunned:

Tom to win,get a zone sweepstake going?

I'll stick with DIY SOS, I think.

Also: Thank-you ITV for finally getting your arses in gear and sorting out ITV Player so it actually works! Lotsa stuff to watch on Friday now! (Hustle, Tracy Beaker, and Law and Order: UK. Think I've got the next ep of Eternal Law to watch tonight too - goodie!)
