What have you watched on TV?

I found the Stephen Fry programme about the evolution of speech (Planet Word) oddly boring, which is odd as its the kind of programme I'd usually love.

I have no desire to watch a programme about something which I did a degree in, hosted by Mr Smug himself.

Agreed so good to have it back on a Friday.
My favourite comedy of the moment.
So many good characters but my favourite is Gloria……

As good a time as any to post a picture of her then

Uncle Leo

I would love to oblige as she is certainly very photogenic but the IT department at work have blocked me.
Not sure there could be a bad time to see a picture of her so hopefully you could supply assuming you do not have the same restrictions.

Good taste! Agree completely - Jack what's is name can be quite annoying as a comedian but is ideally cast in this.

Absolutely love Wilfred - very dark, quite original, very very funny (and deeply perverse and rude).

Fresh Meat - Promising, not a patch on Peep Show, but had it's moments.

Wilfred - I love it, absolutely hilarious, and one of the funniest (and rudest) things I've seen for ages.

Workaholics - not come across the pond to the UK sadly. Kinda like a US The Inbetweeners, but very funny in its own right.

Watched the last two episodes back to back of the latest Doctor Who series. Great stuff - even if MK did have to explain some of it!

Been watching Sopranos over the last few weeks, only just got round to watching it, up to season 4 now.

Watched first few episodes of Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar, but pretty poor.

Just watching Terra Nova, but not impressed. Future world failing so send people back 85 million years to start again. Hmmm, why send them back to before Dinosaurs were wiped out, surely they would die too ? Doesnt make sense.

Got that on Sky+. Wasn't sure but I thought I'd have a look seeing as most post-Lost American telly has been pretty abysmal. Lets face it, if they sent them back to battle primordial ooze it wouldn't have made very interesting telly!

Girl looked good but that was about it.Enjoyed TB.:winking:

Listened to 6 tracks on the way in, it's good stuff. Even a reworked version of the Jackson 5's I Want You Back which is unrecognisable from the disco favourite. Well worth the £5.99 I paid for it on Itunes.

TB was ok, lounge singing isn't my thing really. Apart from Laura Marling (must get her new album) everybody else was forgettable - the reggae version of Nirvana's Lithium made my toes cringe.

Jools Holland - The Civil Wars were amazing, truly blown away. Album purchased and I shall report back tomorrow.

Will watch the extended episode on friday for them then, what sort of music are they?

Looking forward to Grand Designs tonight, one of my favourites, last week's was ace converting an old lifeboat station.

Just saw the tail end of the show. But I can't say I was prticularly impressed by the guestlist. Most of whom(a regular event these days) I'd never heard of.Really enjoyed Wilko last week though.
