What have you watched on TV?

Anyone see Page Eight? Very strong cast, well shot but just went a little flat at the end.
I bailed out after half an hour - thought it was trying too hard to be clever. Can't believe reviews were talking about it in the same breath as The Hour. Not in the same league IMHO.

As Jean Luc Goddard said:-All my films have a beginning,a middle and an end but not necessarily in that order.":winking:

Seen a few films that way at the much lamented Truro Film Society - the projectionist was more interested in eating crisps :'(

Recording four lions, superb film. Were watching appropriate adult which is good so far

Friday watched a decent doc on bbc2 about PG Wodehouse. Sat watched Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais (meh) and last night saw some of Four Lions (I'd forgotten it was on) which was really funny.

Our viewing habits seem to be remarkably similar(though not necessarily our opinions).Like you I saw (some)of the Wodehouse, which I though was passable(given that I hate Wogan) and most of Ghost Town, which I thought was simperingly poor. Was out last night but have already seen 4 Lions, which I thought was incredibly unfunny.

Yeah, 4 Lions is great.

I switched over just in time for

I'm the Mujahideen and I'm making a scene
Now you's gonna feel what the boom-boom means
It's like Tupac said, "When I die, I'm not dead"
We are the martyrs, you're just smashed tomatoes

However the best bit has to be the Wookie/bear bit, which is just genius.

Indeed, absolutely love it. WarpFilms are based in Sheffield and the missus and I were watching something at the local indie cinema and there must have been a private showing of Four Lions before release because I literally bumped into Chris Morris in the foyer. Amazing!

I agree that Appropriate Adult was a little dull, but I'll probably watch the 2nd part next week. Dominic West was excellent.

I assume WarpFilms are part of the same empire as the record company that brought us LFO? Bleep-tastic!

Indeed, Warp Records was founded and based in Sheffield until a few years ago. They set up Warp Films of which Four Lions is probably their biggest film. Other Warp Films stuff includes the This is England stuff, Submarine, and Shane Meadows' output.

Bin Laden: Shoot to Kill aka CSI Abbottabad was awesome tonight.

Presume it wasn't C4 commissioned interviews? Obama came across very well. Amazed at the level of detail included... how/when did all that come out?!

Bit worried, what happened to Cairo?!
