21 players signed in October alone, just saying
Clinging 0n though with my patience as I watch other sides continue to strengthen
Are they strengthening though? If they are EFL players then they were not wanted and/or they are overpaying to get them outside a window when an EFL team can't replace them. If they are non-league are they good enough?20 signed up plus 4 loan extensions, so far in November so that's 41 " difficult" to sign players added to squads so far. Still, only 2 more for us to wait apparently, so be patient !
I get that point and a very far fair one about qualityAre they strengthening though? If they are EFL players then they were not wanted and/or they are overpaying to get them outside a window when an EFL team can't replace them. If they are non-league are they good enough?
The better players, even the back ups and youngsters tend to become available during transfer windows as clubs can readily replace them
We have no idea what the management team are looking for and just signing players for the sake of signing players because we want them to sign players isn't exactly a sound strategy
I agree, I wouldn't say none at all have strengthened their respective teams and I'm not even saying there are not still good players out there we could potentially sign before January just that the pool of players that are both; worthwhile signings and at teams that would be willing to let them go is much smaller outside the designated windows and then that is narrowed further by whether they are players in positions our management team would even want or feel we need.I get that point and a very far fair one about quality
I very much doubt that all 41 players signed in the past 7 weeks have not strengthened a side, even if they were say the second smallest squad in the league but needed more energy or bench cover?
Certainly the myth has been busted thats its impossible to sign anyone during this period up to up to January, so lets not have any, more of that nonsense
I accept their may be some better options then but I dont believe for one minute that clubs have been snapping up a load of naff players
Thought I was going mad, couldn't find it eitherI see the John still thread has been deleted.
Is he still with the club?.I see the John still thread has been deleted.
Isn't he on loan at York? And from a Halifax fan:
"Looks like we have agreed a transfer fee for Malachi Fagan-Walcott from Cardiff City.
Ridiculous signing if true, he is miles to good for this division, we have hardly let a goal in since joining on loan."
Deals are out there and EFL clubs will let players go.
Very much soIs he still with the club?.
Isn't he on loan at York?
Why? Who were the players?I see the John still thread has been deleted.
It was a game tonight at Aveley ( i cant remember who they were playing ), and John Still was scouting thereWhy? Who were the players?
See aboveWhy? Who were the players?
Josh Anifowose is the name mentioned earlier. Good young talent, decent record this season and fits more with our signing type (Bonne and Moncur apart)It was a game tonight at Aveley ( i cant remember who they were playing ), and John Still was scouting there
No player was mentioned (i don't think) only speculation/educated guesses as to who it might be he was looking at
