Andy Williams, played for Swindon (not quite local), has joined Doncaster,

Brown wants 5 or 6 new signings, spoken to 2 with one being a striker who lined up for a local League 1 team last season and the other an inventor type player.
Wouldn't Crawley count as local? Perhaps it's Izale McLeod? I wish.....
Mooney has had one good season in a number of years, id be disappointed if we signed him. I remember him against us Home and Away in the LDV he was awful if he was a decent striker Orient would have beat us by a good number of goals both nights!
Why does it have to be Col Ewe or Orient players in people thoughts on here! There was a lot of players in League One last year that have been released

No he would be to expensive they want 75 pound a ticket to see him at the Cliffs Pavilion in November .I heard we after gino d'campo as we need some decent food at the hall
The two I've seen us strongly linked with are Mooney and Stephen Dobbie. We'll see though.
I'd be extremely happy if that was the case.. but I'd feel far more comfortable if it was a year deal with an option for a second.
Gutted not to have got Williams. Think he's about as good as we could hope for. Mooney isn't the same level.Andy Williams, played for Swindon (not quite local), has joined Doncaster,

Stephen Dobbie scored 4 in 27 for Fleetwood last season.. Surely we can do better than that?
Technically he is a very good player though. It wasn't so long ago that he was the standout player in the championship. I think he could prove very useful, and he's a number 10 and not a striker like some am have suggested.
I think this is a big decision for Brown. Does he want to stick with 4-4-2 and try to look for a good partnership and strikers who can play alongside each other well or does he prioritise the kind of strikers who fit his preferred 4-5-1 and can play up top on their own. Predict it'll be a bit of both but given a completely clean slate he's got the opportunity to really make it his own.And it's all about what formation you play, what striking partner is there and how attacking is the midfield for example. Goals are nice (necessary actually) but there is more than that to a player's game.

We don't need 28 players and certainly don't need four strikers plus Williams. 23/23 players plus loans if needed is fine.
