Had him in league one on FM with southend but signed him on a free, very good finisher for a young player but then again he was on the bench behind Leon Clarke!

Yea I'd be surprised if they loaned him out, especially to a League One club - championship maybe. He's played in the prem for them I think?

Toney saw a deal with Wolves fall through last season, so I think he'll be aiming a little higher than us if he moves.

Ah yes - just like Bilel had a deal with West Ham fall through. Only kidding - the point being there was no deal as it did not go through (although I am not sure why that was).

If you are in Division 4 (as Northampton are) then an offer from a club in Division 3 seems like a step up to me. Sometimes a series of smaller steps can get you further than one big step.

Echo today says one of the targets Brown has met with "lined up for a nearby League One club last season". I'm guessing Col Ewe, their out of contract players are Jabo Ibehre, Kevin Lokko, Magnus Okuonghae, Dominic Smith and Sanchez Watt. I have a horrible feeling it might be Ibehre.

Alternatively, could be a loan player like Jacob Murphy, Rhys Healey, Jack Marriott, Kemar Roofe, Will Packwood among others.
