John Lundstram was on loan at Orient last season and has been released by Everton.

Echo today says one of the targets Brown has met with "lined up for a nearby League One club last season". I'm guessing Col Ewe, their out of contract players are Jabo Ibehre, Kevin Lokko, Magnus Okuonghae, Dominic Smith and Sanchez Watt. I have a horrible feeling it might be Ibehre.

Alternatively, could be a loan player like Jacob Murphy, Rhys Healey, Jack Marriott, Kemar Roofe, Will Packwood among others.

Dagnall at Orient has already been mentioned. This sounds very much like him.

It's more than likely Dave Mooney from Orient. Seen more than one O's fan confirm we have offered Mooney a contract, however it seems he is likely to sign for Stevenage.

I'd be pleased with Mooney, looks like he struggled for form last year but perhaps that's understandable the way Orient were run. Season before he hit 21 goals.

Bat**** mental if he chooses Stevenage over us, unless we're being a bit half-hearted again.

If he chooses Stevenage then it could well be the influence of Sheringham, I'm sure there are many lower-league strikers who would thrive under his guidance.

Never understood that logic from players. I mean, Alvin Martin didn't exactly do much for our defence when he was our manager.

Alvin Martin was a very poor manager but I'm sure he would have still imparted some wisdom on our centre halves. That doesn't necessarily mean he had the attributes and tactical awareness (along with player recruitment skills) to make a whole team successful (clearly he didn't!). Same with Sheringham IMHO, he may or may not do a good job at Stevenage but if I was a striker there I'd be fairly confident that TS would aid my own personal development as a player.

Mooney has had one good season in a number of years, id be disappointed if we signed him. I remember him against us Home and Away in the LDV he was awful if he was a decent striker Orient would have beat us by a good number of goals both nights!
Why does it have to be Col Ewe or Orient players in people thoughts on here! There was a lot of players in League One last year that have been released

Looks like Cassidy is happy at the moment and just about to sign for someone, could it be us, think he would be better for us in league one than last season in league two, works very hard.

Because the original thread said from a nearby League One Club!

I wouldn't class 21 goals in a season as just "good", that is a great tally and he was being chased by Championship teams after that season.

He has consistently scored scored in his last 6 seasons. I'd rather us sign a couple of these more "solid" signings, who will get at least a decent tally, and one young striker (pacey & hungry of course :winking:) who could be a future star.

Worth noting that Bristol City's top goalscorer last season was 35 year old Aaron Wilbraham, scoring 21 goals, only managed 3 goals in the previous 3 years.

George Green Signs for Oldham seen him mentioned here, Cassidy tweeting that he's happy linked with a move to Oldham too

No. That's not possible - you're making that up. :stunned:

Was he a) injured in the previous 3 seasons, b) suffering from ebola or c) signed by the chairman and therefore not played ...................
