A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Seems to be absolute silence on ANG and just a mention of Akinola playing for ColU U23s. Surely if still paying them (and they are not bad players) you keep them training with you and potentially playing. Showing they are match ready must be a better selling position to be in or they might prove in training they are your cup of tea. Whilst PB might think he can get better for the wages, based on merit I can’t see why they wouldn’t be in our first team squad.

With Elvis is there a time limit on the compo rules or does he in effect end his career unless someone stumps up the money?
didnt go to meet the blues day, but assume neither Sim or ANG were there?

They are not very effective though. They remind me of Rob Newman era signings.
My point is that they will be less effective sat doing nothing and also less likely to attract interest if the last seen of them was with injuries. I happen to think differently to PB on Akinola but he is the boss and most on here seemed to think that ANG was great with the ball but no end product. Surely that’s what the training ground is for.

Fair enough. I thought that was a given... maybe I should have included that.
Yeah it’s only because when I read it initially on the Echo website I missed the loan part of it. I thought maybe that’s why we hadn’t announced anything yet as we were trying to sign him on a perm but month-to-month. But that’s not the case and it does seem a bit weird that he’s telling people yesterday he’s here for the season if that’s not what has been offered.

Completely agree - isn't there a part of training that is "development" of the player or do we just follow a "next please" approach with continual churning of players?

Think we can probably move on from any rumours of us being interested in Hudlin now.

If that's genuine it'd be surprising, perhaps Kane has turned them down

Man City will scout players for teams in their group. They own teams all around the world and part of their business model is picking up undervalued players and showcasing them and then flipping them for a profit.

They could be watching him with a view to signing him to their Australian franchise or loaning him out to their Belgian club to build up his value and then sell him etc.
