A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Not a target but I went and watched Holland FC vs Burnham Ramblers during the week in the heady heights of Thurlow Nunn League Div 1 South (that's a mouthful). It was a really entertaining game that Burnham won 3-1 and after the game we found out that one of the Burnham players was leaving for a Conference Team (don't believe it to be us).

I wonder if we ever scout at this level as the player who left wasn't even one of the better players in the Burnham team.

He was number 10 playing at right wing back, right midfield. My daughter's boyfriend plays for them so I will ask him when i next see him and let you know - it was something like 'Hissa'

But it is difficult to an identify an alternative target. We know the player in question is on big wages and played for a Division 1 club last season. That seems to rule out Andy Carroll. We also know that Gillingham wishes to offload John Akinde and bring in a new striker. Akinde is not likely to be phased by playing in the National League and would probably welcome a move that is relatively local.

That was him, I will try and find out who he signed for.

My point is there were other players at that level in both Teams who i thought were better than him.

Of course they already may be in better paid jobs than being a Conference League professional but there is talent around at that level.

Because last season we got relegated. So we clearly need to improve on that?! And the level of improvement in this area of the pitch will go a long way to determine whether we have a shot of getting out of this hellhole of a division.
