Tom didn't want to comment on it too much on the last zoom call, but said it was all going well and Ron is very confident of good news soon, tbf FF is Ron's domain so I can understand why Tom doesn't want to say too much

It isnt Tom’s side of the club, am sure the council and club will make an announcement when the time is right or when there is an update on the current situation. Be that good or bad news.

I am more worried about players right now, although some will say both are linked which i guess they are

If we start the season with the U23’s again and lose will there be a Ron Martin out protest at home to Stockport?? ??‍ Surely we can’t have another season like last season.

There is no evidence of an embargo just a club living within its means which is what we have been after for years, I'd expect behind closed doors that this seasons expectation is to slow the tanker down and get upper mid-table, next season when Ron is flush with cash the aim would be to push for promotion back into the FL ready for the move into our shiny new stadium

Is there not a wage cap due to come in next year? i'm afraid its this year or never quite possibly in terms of that.

I am not sure of promotion either this season or the next .To many big clubs have been stuck in a rut of the National league for many years .And i fear we will be another one of them . Do hope im wrong

Why would we be starting the season with the U23s? The only player under the age of 23 likely to start the first game of the season is Dalby who counts as a first team player anyway..

Id be surprised if we were under any form of embargo ,as I understand it under new rules you have to inform the NL of any kind of financial issue and they have the right to immediately inspect all the books and take action ( punishable ) ?? But I might have misunderstood NL league rules, which are detailed online, and I think someone kindly submitted them on site here somewhere not that long ago?

I’m sure know why people think embargo but everything just tallies up with living within a budget and Phil not being happy he can’t sign the player he wants which breaks the budget. Reduce the wage bill and you can sign some more, we have way too many players still just in the wrong position it seems
