Players get injured, lose some form, need to be rested to keep them fresh and therefore the idea that two forwards are likely to complete the large majority of games is I afraid probably mistaken. You need 3-4 forwards playing regularly and ideally not weakening the side when the do- so worrying about another decent forward stopping Dalby playing is missing this point I think. The lack of 20+ goalscorers is just the natural result of this reality.Maybe not, in fact there was only one player in the whole of the National League last season that reached or in fact scored more than 20 goals.
