A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

ITK, are you able to shed any light at all on the ‘things in background’? Are they stadium related etc?

I would imagine it is getting their furlough top up pay. You will recall there was a bit of a stink about it at the time with the PFA advising players not to agree it before Ron came back with a non-binding commitment to repay.

Spot on ......
The initial offers given to the players as a start to negotiations were very very low (lower than you'd expect at this level). There is a point where players will be better going part time like Goodship has and possibly doing other things to make up their incomes. Others have better experience at negotiating and have the contacts within the club directly to facilitate this. Younger ones may not have this option.
Those that the club have decided they definitely cannot afford to lose have had ongoing negotiations but as always the club aren't great at maintaining communication, plus there's things not helping in the background a the moment which cant be talked about. Its been a messy business for some to strike a mutually agreeable deal.

Goodship has been part time for a few seasons now!!

I have no idea What salary would constitute very very low or lower than you would expect for yin’s level. I still think very very low is relative to someone’s position. If your on minimum wage the £500 may seem a lot I have no idea, similarly if you earn £500 a week £1,000 may seem a lot and so on.

so let us know what very very low is so we can judge if it is very very low

Surely low or high depends on whether there are other offers?
