A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Sorry, the top two sides scored 72 and 70.

Top two scoring sides or the sides that finished 1 and 2?

Given that the L1 & L2 wage caps were scrapped what makes the NL think theirs won't be?

Out of interest are NL players allowed to be members of the PFA?

The EFL rushed and botched their wage cap. The National League are giving themselves time to consult and get it right so it stands a better chance of succeeding.

Didn’t the PFA get it kicked out? Back to the question is the PFA representing the players at National League level- if not who is?

On paper, we have the strongest back 4, plus an upgrade over Oxley, as in last 22 games (apart from Port Vales) our defending record is top 8 league 2 standard.

I honestly don't believe Arnold is an upgrade on Oxley.

Arnold Is a decent signing for this level, but not better than Oxley.

When Oxley had a defence infront of him, he was brilliant ?? even last season, he cost us a few points but he earned us a lot more.

That remains to be seen. Your own stats prove that defending wasn't the issue during the business end of the season. After the Vale game i think we only conceded 14 goals in the last 20?.

Good enough to escape any relegation battle in any league.....Accept for us because we only scored 12 in that time.

The stats do suggest that the sharp end is the BIG problem, some games the oppos needn't have bothered with a gk.
We have, (hopefully) up graded the midfield so there may be some goals there BUT the lack of goal scorers is my worry.
I still expect PB and Ron to do a WOW late signing and keep looking for a player of the Defoe mode to appear in gossip spotted at the Roslin and stating that being a Galatico was a childhood dream.

When you look at the top ten performers (strikers) in the NL last season, I believe each of those is contracted to their clubs. In which case that means we are either going to have to spend money to attract them or take a chance on a league 1 or 2 club having released a gem.

As i see it we bring in another decent striker or two we will be in the mix for promotion ,lets wait and see how good a keeper Arnold is, im sure PB has done his arithmetic and knows what he will get from Arnold, Be patient im quite sure a striker will be signed, maybe a decent playmaker also

The players return to training in a week. Patience is perhaps a commodity that we don't have.
