So for an old person like me that loses track quickly , can someone summarise how many we've signed and lost from last season ( including loans ) and how many are still pending ?
I’m pretty happy with the 6 signings so far, if Jake Hyde is coming in too I’d be really happy with that one too.
And not forgetting Demi in the last category. There could be others Danny, but from a quick scrutiny this is what I found.

What happened to Greg Halford too?
What happened to Greg Halford too?
I thought he signed on another monthly? but maybe not
Either way, I was hoping that by omitting him from the list I could eradicate him from my memories.
Experience in this league tells you that you need to score around 65 goals during the season to achieve the playoffs, even then that’s not a guarantee. For me Ricey, they seem to be going for character, experience, etc. We will be more solid, but apart from one player, I can't see where the goals will come from.
Just been on the Northampton fan site to see what they are saying about Arnold. Not much on there except reference to his dodgy back and their hope that we carried out a thorough medical. Bodes well then!
It's not as simple as that though, is it. Let's say a player with a young family comes from the south west, plays in the south west and is on £800 per week. He and his wife have a mortgage and kid is about to start school.
He is then offered £1000 per week on a new contract 1 year extension at his current local club.
Then we come in, offering £1,4000 per week for a 2 year contract but it means renting a place, finding a suitable school and his wife seeking a new job if she is to relocate as well.
And a club up north come in and offer £1,200 per week for a 2 year contract but it means renting a place, finding a suitable school and his wife seeking a new job if she is to relocate as well.
Suddenly we look like the least attractive offer as renting a place will cost more as well as the general higher cost of living... and maybe the right school isn't available etc.
Like John White, he is neither in, out, or shake it all about. What happened to Greg Halford too?
That's how Spurs got Gazza all those years ago, the clincher being a BMW for his Dad and a sun bed for his sister. That is really what I meant. They go where the best all round deal is financially, taking all those things you mention into account. If the best deal works out to be Weymouth, or Borehamwood, in front of less than 1000 fans per week, they will take that every time over playing for the likes of us, Notts County, Chesterfield etc in a bigger ground, better facilities & home gates around 5k. The only way to get the player is to make the all round deal the most attractive on the table taking everything into account. The club name on the shirt badge means naff-all.
God knows how much beer and burgers they must have promised Jimmy 'five bellies' Gardner then. That's how Spurs got Gazza all those years ago, the clincher being a BMW for his Dad and a sun bed for his sister.
If I recall only one side scored 80 plus last season.WE are going to score 80 plus okay, just hope we dont concede more lol
