Transfer News and Gossip Transfer Rumours Thread 2024/25 - Time to Cook šŸ‘Øā€šŸ³

Transfer news
Tyrese Omotoye fits that description.
Would certainly suggest he's now surplus to requirements at the moment and perhaps a loan with a recall clause would be nice. Would leave them with Doidge, Cardwell and Quigley - and think they only play with 1 up in their formation.

Can you please show your working out?
Iā€™m following @Mr Browns Ghost ā€™s hypothesis where he said weā€™d soon get the same feeling as when Hyde replaced Dalby.

My working out is that we have lost a promising young striker, like Dalby, in Cardwell and his hypothesis seems to be that he will be replaced by an older striker in the twilight of his career, like Hyde, from the same club. The only player on FGRā€™s books that would seem to fit that description is Doidge - although as others have pointed out, heā€™s been prolific so far this season so it is difficult to comprehend them offloading him.

The hypothesis is not mine, Iā€™m just trying to work out what he meant!

Yes, I was going along with it.

Still some strikers released by EFL clubs in the summer who are free agents and could be potential options: Danny Hylton, Jordy Hiwula, Mo Eisa.

Watched Aveley last night. Harry Gibbs was defensively excellent. Didn't get to see much of him on the ball but won and blocked absolutely everything. Wouldn't be surprised if that's who John Still was watching last night

Interesting - 27 so vastly experienced, but is he full time? Would potentially have the same issue(s) as Waldron if coming from part time...

Hiwula would be quality, surprised he's not got a club - although 2 goals in last 4 years is pretty painful viewing. 1 in 4 over career though and would be decent at our level I would suspect.

Hylton is 35 - so probably not for us.
Im sure Tilly tried to sign Mo Eisa many years ago? 1 in 3 striker probaby out of our Ā£'s
