Yea I agree totally - minor inconvenience selling your best striker, in a squad that has 1 fit striker.

In fact, its blinding business Jedi, dunno what these others are moaning about.

Hope we sell Colin today too, that'll stick it to em!

Itā€™s called football, you should try following it sometime. Honestly youā€™d think a football club had never lost a player they didnā€™t want to before.

Thatā€™s disappointing. If itā€™s much less it shows the ineptitude commercially on contracts / clauses. An area for us to improve within. Weā€™ve been dreadful in this regard for as long as I can remember. The amount of money we have left on the table over the years as players go ā€˜on the cheapā€™ is staggering. I donā€™t know what we paid Chorley but there canā€™t be too much profit in it for a key asset & top scorer with 18 last season. Then the cost of replacing him ..
It really doesn't. Cardwell was going to be out of contract and free to leave. Perhaps the only way he was willing to sign was to have a reasonable (cheap?) sell on clause added.

That maybe but just for arguments sake, Cards may not have signed had the release clause been higher. Contract agreements have to work for both parties and a clause would have to be agreed.

Like it or loathe it, FGR have way more money to spread around than most clubs at this level. Bournemouth donā€™t have three times the spending power of Man Utd.
This is the bit that really irks me. They got relegated last season because they didnā€™t spend enough. Now are spending it like it grows on trees. Itā€™s easier to stay up than get promoted. And theyā€™ve taken one of the two slots for everyone else.

They spent plenty last year, they were just a basket case that went through about 5 managers in a season.
