Imagine a team built of mostly Bim type players. I'm talking 8 onfield players of his age, strength, desire, ability. With one properly experienced 'been there done it' pro in defence and one in midfield (jd type) to bring the on pitch in game knowledge
play aggressive pressing flowing football and scare every team senseless with attacking fearless football.

Sounds like a dream. But would probably cost a few quid

As I said earlier it’s the sort of model used by a number of NL teams that have been promoted recently but maybe with two or three experienced heads.

I remember Benson scoring a hatrick when our ressies beat someone 6-3 (maybe Bournemouth?)

He was up front with another good striker for us (I cannot remember who it was).

He scored in a few more reserve games too. FWIR, the club couldn't afford him as he was part time and on more money than our current players at the time. Was he not training to become a solicitor or something in Law or even accountancy? This happened with Ricky Holmes too when he worked at playfootball up at the chase.

I’ve heard it mention numerous times but the likes of Stockport, Chesterfield, Notts County and lesser extent Wrexham not only bought in good players but players that would be good enough to compete in L2 minimum and in some cases L1. No coincidence they did that, got promoted and are now L1 or/and comfortable in L2. Shouldn’t we be looking at the quality of players like Bim and build a squad not only good enough to get us out this league but beyond? Of course it will also come down to money it always does but if we can pick up players like Bim etc then it would go along way to helping us get out this league
easy, piece of **** really. best tell Justin quickly before someone else thinks of it

Can only make 5 subs per match I'm afraid.

I wonder if Cal Roberts at Scunthorpe is on the whiteboard, he's had 15 goal involvements in 21 this season and has experience at this level before he moved to Aberdeen.

At 27 he should be approaching / at his peak
Didn't we have him on trial when we were a football league club?

He is on an absolute wedge at Scunthorpe.

The best player by far that I have seen this season in NLS is Osman Foyo at Chelmsford City. Quick, tall and scores goals. JD will know him as he was at Chelmsford a short while. The problem is that he is on loan from Ipswich but they may wish him to step up a division. I hope he is on our radar.

22 year old attacking midfielder Isaac Fletcher is another player I hope we are keeping tabs on.
Currently has 11 goals for the season for Spennymoor Town in National League North. He's a former Middlesbrough youngster who is a forward-thinking player with the ability to play anywhere across midfield or even in a more advanced position.
