I wouldn't say it is a priority to bring another keeper in, but if Hayes becomes available I would have thought he would be someone we would try and bring in permanently.

Martin is not a long term option and someone of Hayes quality (at least from what he showed in the short time with us) should provide competition for Collin. If as we all think Collin will go on further in his career, it is good to have a GK already in the building should he move on at some point.

What awful standard of football. Is that Johnson fellar from Chorley the one mentioned on here too.

That’s the trouble with some of these players they look great at that level but when they step into your division or ours they don’t get the same time and space. Look at 3 of your old boys at Yeovil, Rhys Murphy has 10 goals to his name, Frank Nouble 7 and Jake Hyde 5 and they have played 67 games between them! Certainly Murphy and Hyde wouldn’t have played 41 games between them at your level.

I’m confused by this too. He said it was out of his hands to get it over the line before the game - I’d be surprised if that signals the end of our interest or if it’s dead in the water.

That could mean anything......even that NL staff do not work over long week ends!

Hoping for a new CB that can marshal the back line and tell them when to stop ****ing around with it at the back. Also hoping for a less lightweight forward that isn't afraid to shoot to play off Cardwell and create space for him

Do we need another goalkeeper though? Collin is excellent and a great prospect who will almost certainly catch the attention from EFL clubs and Dave Martin can be registered as a player coach. There are far more important areas where the team needs strengthening.

YES WE do if colin gets another injury we need a second keeper in the squd And martin is met to be goal keeper coach .

From what I've heard since the incident, Dave Martin is keen to stay involved and fight for a starting place in addition to the coaching. Needs to recover fully first of course. i hope he does continue because the experience he brings at the back can prevent soft set piece goals.

Never understood how a keeper can fight for his place. #1 plays crap and gets replaced. Colin is good enough to be our #1, Martin is good enough to be his backup. We don't need a third until one or both get injured or start forgetting they have hands

Martin is better than Collin.

The way he reads the game yes but doesn’t have anywhere near the agility that Collin has and that is something that Collin will learn over time so for me Collin is number 1 and Martin fits into a coaching role with his experience but good backup. However if we need a challenger I would say Hayes would be ideal. Just my opinion

You are right we don't as much as other teams in our league but we have been caught enough times doing it at the wrong time. I feel we need someone in the centre that knows when and when not to do it.

Credit to both of them for how they've performed, but I think we can do better than both if we want to challenge for promotions.

Yeah get what you're saying. I think it's more about getting the right players in to do it properly. The way that we play is based on passing out from the back, but in quite a particular way, and I think it's generally really effective so wouldn't want to see us deviate from it.

I don't think it's a priority for Kev and co and from what I've heard JR say, we ain't going to splash the cash unnecessary and a new keeper is definitely not required at present.
