Recruitment so far has been very good. Crowther is a good defender, good on the ball and will bring goals (something we have been lacking from the CB position).

Waldron is a natural goalscorer. Someone who can create on his own and instinctively finish. We saw that last night. Got the ball with loads to do, drove into the box and drilled it just inside the far post. Keeper had no chance. There was also a turn and shot in an instant in the first half.

If I have one criticism its with the CM recruitment, they are all a little too similar and their goals record is built over many many appearances at different clubs. Its not going to change because suddenly they practice finishing or shooting. We,as sure as night follows day, need an attacking CM as a priority. Even if it requires a modest investment.

What last night also showed, with just 3 outfield players available on the bench, is that the idea the squad is big enough, let alone too big, is absurd. And hence this and the above should drive at least one (maybe two incoming). BTW yes we have injuries and a suspensions but newsflash- footballers get injuries, and get suspended (the latter increasing as yellow card build towards the end of the season). It's pretty much business as usual.

Always players who are or will be better than what we have got.

Attacking centre midfielder as a priority- Mancini.

Too many Mahers when what we need is a Bentley.

Waldron moved to ft think all great recruits. Especially crowther. 2 strikers in the summer when Henry and dackers leave
If we get 2 strikers in with the same quality that we missed out on whilst under the embargo we will be in a very good position.

I'd also not rule out a striker like Cheek coming in as well, the family ties to the club will be a big draw
