Martin Keown mentioned that keeper struggling with mental health in the past. That may be why he is playing where he is. He certainly looked solid today and he did in the previous round too.
Remember him scoring for Torquay as well as having a blinder. Very talented player but perhaps and sadly very fragile.

Has any bids come in for any of our players in this window does anyone know ..

I know Exeter have wanted cards was wondering if they are going to wait until deadline day to put in last minute bid ..

I think we are two players short of being sorted.

We need a set piece specialist - CP tweeted the other day that we havent scored directly from a free kick in almost 3 years, Thats a bit concerning.

We also need a poacher which I am hoping Waldron will be but not seen him play yet and know very little about him.

We will not be signing anymore centre forwards unless so form of big injury crisis happens up top.

Dan Mooney scored an amazing free kick in a pre-season friendly just after he signed. Can't remember who it was against, but it was a scorching day, as was the free kick.

Doesn't count though.

Very specific type of players that! Would imagine a team could expect a max of two direct goals from free kicks at this level a season so hardly an essential. And we don’t play a system for a poacher to play in.

Waldron made some smart runs on Saturday for the shot period of time he was on imo.

Agreed. Also, we were much more effective up top before Cardwell got injured. His running, pressing and hold up play helped bring others into the game. During the couple of months he was injured, the stand ins up top haven't really been able to impose themselves in that way and we've become disjointed. I do think that after a few weeks with Cardwell back in the side, and with Waldron now here and also in the side for a few weeks we will see our play in the final third become much more slick - and much more effective - again.
