Many a team got out of this league utilising loads of loan players. ( Minimum of 5 or even 6 in some cases ) Im NOT advocating that, even if you can have up to 9 in a season. We want to develop the youngsters together and continue to foster the great team spirit and build legacies. However as our hands are no longer tied, I wont weep if we brought in a couple of decent loanees to bolster prospects and try them out

Teams from the Championship down often rely heavily on loanees to get themselves up then really struggle the next season without them.

Burton have just appointed a new manager this morning (Martin Paterson) so that may slow things down a little in terms of any incomings/outgoings at Burton. I'd imagine he'd want a couple of weeks to assess what he has, before making any decisions.

So perhaps if we were in for anyone there, it might be a slow burner/lastminute.com move once the window closes and only if a transfer to another EFL team hasn't materialised?

Interesting to see Burton have let the other striker mentioned in the Telegraph article out on loan this evening. Could be wishful thinking but could maybe see the same for Walker sooner than thought 🤞
