Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

I'm not a tax lawyer,obviously- (where's Matt when you need him?)- but I can't help wondering why HMRC don't lean on HMG to pass legislation to the effect that any company /owner who makes say 3 appearances in the winders court automatically goes into administration.Would save us (and I imagine a few others) quite a lot of regular

If you only go once a year and support Spanish teams and Fulham then Administration wouldn't bother you. But for us real fans of the 50+ clubs who have been late with tax bills....We would really suffer.

This is the first year since I was a boy that I've only seen SUFC play once. The other points you make are irrelevant to the embargo situation too.

Incidentally, why do you continue to support the way the chairman "runs"the club?

FWIW,I'm beginning to wonder how much longer there will be a SUFC to support (whatever league we're playing in)?

I haven’t seen a live match other than TV for almost 3 years. Perhaps I’d better leave the forum because I’m no longer qualified to be a fan?

Matt was at Dagenham on Saturday, I had a good chat with him.

Why would the government want to pass such a piece of legislation? They may have been paid late but they’ve been paid. If you wind a company up you’ll get pennies to the pound of your existing debt and you’ll forgo future taxes. From the government’s perspective this works.

Been there for 60 years.Southend will be going nowear.Time to say good bye.And i mean it.very much.Look at park foot ball .How can you follow A club when things change.evey day for the worse.I will not waste my pention cash no more. BYE BYE Southend united lost interest. Mr Martin

Ha ha, fair point mate and my tuppence is that I know you and Tangers are both propers supporters of the football club, but from afar.
Now there are a few on the forum who seem to have no interest in the games played, players, football and such, and that is, imo, odd, their motives are unknown except for the transparent few who seek financial gain if they get the club taken over.
And some are malevolent individuals with a tenuous Southend link and stir the **** for enjoyment.

I'll wager you don't want Southend United to fold just because your scared Ron is actually close to making FF happen. Nor is you opinion always blighted by brain washed dated political ideas

Some on here would rather end the club than see Ron get a return on his money. Thats whats really behind this purge on anyone considered a Ron lover.

For sure very few of "us " do, not ORM or Tangers
just because your scared Ron is actually close to making FF happen.
Most are scared he won't make it happen, anytime this decade, or ever.

True in part, there are some decidedly blinkered view points in a non binary situation.

Purge? Did I miss something big? There has been some narrative approaching bullying and harrassment, especially against Trust folk, and discussers of reason, but purge?

You can check out any time you like......... but you can never leave.

As I said I'm not a tax lawyer (obviously) .Just fed up with SUFC being regularly under embargo.Would imagine HMRC are rather fed up with the situation too.(TBH I'm rather suprised to see you defending The Chairman's biz "model").

i can see your point us supporters have only two choices you put up with chairman ron and support the team or you say that`s it with martin , shouting ,banner waving . does nothing he`s going nowhere and he won`t change , i do wonder if he was to walk away today who would be paying for the running of the club next week and beyond ? it can`t be from matchday money especially this month with only 3 home games

Its hard not to get a little bit excited about the possibilities of a purge on Ron Lovers and backers on here

However I much prefer to read the wondrous stuff and desperate efforts they are currently coming up with during Rons latest big failure

I would miss it terribly and the fantastic laugh it gives me

Thats the wonder of democracy

I’m pretty confident in saying this Annie.

If Ron left today, there would be a person or a group of people ready to pick up the pieces tomorrow, including making sure the club is funded where necessary.

Any talk from Ron of the club not surviving without him, is absolute hyperbole at best.

I glad you are confident but where are these people? Let’s enjoy today and hopefully the blues will be in the first round on Monday
