Some on here would rather end the club than see Ron get a return on his money. Thats whats really behind this purge on anyone considered a Ron lover.

FWIW I'd much rather be watching games live (even in the NL) rather than tuning in to BBC Essex to follow games.At least when we were a League club you could watch all our games games on iFollow.Sign of our decline I suppose.Sigh.

Any talk from Ron of the club not surviving without him, is absolute hyperbole at best.

From what i have been reading it was a old container not near the stadium .And i will wager it was started by some bored kids .The fire cheif has said the blase was put out within 20 n mins It seems to be hyped up by the echo again .

Even if we get rid of Martin as owner we will still have Martin as landlord (and creditor).

The club’s not worth much (except to you and me) and will be flogged to the highest bidder once Fossetts is realised, but he’ll also own the new stadium and we’ll need to pay rent on that to Ron. Whilst he’s owner he’s not too bothered about collecting rent and content to let paper debts pile up, but as soon as we’re shot of him he’s going to be wanting to be paid - and without any shame - on time. We’ll go from struggling to pay HMRC each month to struggling to pay HMRC and the rent each month.

It’s possible the only thing worse than Ron as a business partner is Ron as a landlord/creditor.

To secure the future of the club we need to get rid of Ron not just as owner but as creditor and landlord as well.

And even then we need to hope that Ron doesn’t sell to another Ron (remember Anton Johnson sold to Vic Jobson who sold
to Ron Martin).

Hopefully we find a way.

I make you right..... the next owner needs to buy not just the club but the facilities to. We need ron gone completely to move forward. Will that happen? Who knows, but it needs to.

Bang on.....until we get rid entirely from all aspects we are in trouble. I actually think the chances of us ever recovering without a total restart (new club) are pretty slim.

People were, iirc, quoting the tax bill as around £1million?
And also didn't Ron say the issue was caused by the demand on repayment of a FA loan that had to be paid?
If so did, had Ron got the tax money ready before the loan was called in? If that is so the shortfall is, surely , the amount, unforeseen, of the loan repayments?
Maybe a lot less than the figures being spoken of , and manageable?
