Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

I don’t disagree that we’re stuck with Ron until he makes his money. Just feels like you’re trying to defend the indefensible. Successive relegations into non-league football, not paying staff, more winding up orders, embargoes and court hearings than I’ve had hot dinners, main sponsors pulling support, stadium plans being stripped to the bone, clubs refusing to do business with us. But I’m supposed to pat him on the back for putting some money into the club?
Not saying you need to pay him on back but just giving the full picture.

Many other owners would of just folded the club and cracked on with the plans to develop the land they own.

Ron has still put money into the club and tried to improve it.

If we are to have a sit in after a game or make our views heard from the terraces,
I think then that it is very very important to let Tom and Stan know that we are complety behind them in our support.
That the players, we are supporting them.
The management team, we are behind them totally.
But RON ALONE, no other we are totally against.
WE LOVE AND SUPPORT ALL IN OUR CLUB bar one.

But technically whoever the executor is can take action? Surely Vic Jobson’s estate still owns a third of the club?
The executor only owns as a trustee; it's not beneficial ownership. Any assets discovered later belong to the beneficiaries.

interested to see how the sponsorship thing pans out

If you were a sponsor and know of Ron , I assume you wouldn't agree a 3 year deal on a kiss and a handshake

Not only that you have Tom involved as allegedly he did with Gillingham and PG site services , presumably offering legal, contractual advice, Certainly leaves Tom in a bizarre position

As a sponsor would you want to be associated with your name emblazoned all over the shirt with a club constantly under embargo and not even paying staff. Surely this alone would want you to pull the plug if you were assured these things wouldnt happen, let alone any work?Contract aspects to do with the groundwork. A sponsors meeting was arranged before, maybe others will want to not tarnish there reputation any further and pull out ?

This deal was for 3 years, with annual payments as I understand it? Wheres all the good news about to come from I wonder and how soon?

Confirmed by Chris Phillips. Seems legit.

Tom Lawrence is a director of PG Site Services too.

I wonder what else is still to come, because frankly I don’t think this is the last of the bad news.
You sound surprised at " this is not the end of the bad news". Having known Mr Martin since 1974 I can assure you this is not the end of the bad news. Mr Martin hangs around like a very bad smell. He needs to leave our great clubASAP. Unfortunately I think he has other ideasc and wants to leave a Matin dynasty by leaving all to his son, just more bad news.

That it so good to hear Stan. feels like we have a guardian angel looking after us 👼
Trouble is Stan is the master of the okey cokey, one minute he is 100% in next he is 100% out, then he turns around and that's what it's all about. Ron Martin is the original head F**k and leaves anyone in a tale spin

Seen on twitter some guy Carl Reader. A very successful business man, ex Southend High pupil and a Southend fan. Does anyone know much about him? He is actually a realistic investor? Think Stan might know or be linked with him as well. Just wondering how series a proposition he could be

Don't you think the sale of Roots Hall and Boots & Laces made the development of FF possible?
The developer is a company created for the purpose (as is normal) jointly owned by a company owned by son of Ron and another by the Dellals. Funding for the development will come from various sources but of course normally including the developers. The Dellals are loaded- Ron I suspect one way or another is putting in the land with PP at RH and FF which becomes a very valuable asset (£10s of million range). Not sure he has “sold” the land in the sense of for £ - it will no doubt transfer to the development at valuation and I think there is an agreement that allows Ron to then to raise certain funds against that collateral based on a certain stage (stages) being reached. Allegedly delayed causing issues.
The football club don’t own either RH or the training pitches.
My understanding anyway.

Do a search for Carl Reader on here and you'll get pages of stuff to enjoy. Including a Q and A.

Stop spamming threads to promote this guy please. Any more mentions will be deleted.

Robert Jobson (son and executor of the late Vic Jobson, Southend United's forma Chairman and owner) is right, Ron Martin does not "own" a majority shareholding in the club "Southend United Football Club", in fact he does not "own" any shares in the club.

However South Eastern Leisure (UK) Ltd are the majority shareholder with some 478,806 shares in the club, and Ron Martin is the sole owner and director of South Eastern Leisure (UK) Ltd.

Not so. A will is a public document once proved. Check it out for yourself.
Fbm I am making a public apology to you as I have read the post completely wrong. My view was your post was to do with him not being ready to take action. After rereading the post you referred to I now understand it was to do with him not being an executor. My apologise for my post. (still friends?)

Fbm is not known for ridiculous or unsubstantiated posts (unlike others). I think he might work in the legal field though so maybe he does know but cant say specifically due to client confidentiality?
Cheers @Spaceman Spiff

Although I do remember catching a lot of people ages ago when we were rumoured to be after Andy Kirk with one of those transfer threads and a "Kirk signs" picture featuring William Shatner, much to a lot of people's disgust. That was quite unsubstantiated as I don't think he even plays football...
