It's worth bearing in mind a new scoreboard that allows advertising wouldn't cost an awful lot. Less than 35k and should pay back quite quickly.

The issue would be installing such a thing without requiring planning permission, especially as it would be visible to the flats above the south, therefore a new screen that is essentially like for like in terms of dimensions as the old would be pretty easy to install and be a big upgrade

Planning permission are you sure? Its not a new thing its a replacement.
 
I wondered if it was for the run off/perimeter areas at Roots Hall

This is the recommended company and that's the kind of thing they do most of
